Have you considered putting a display around 19" behind the front panel? That way you could display the MFCD's as well as radar and RWR. You'd also have some space below the MFD's for other gauges!
Good idea! Maybe in the future. Now I only fly the Mirage 2000 and the Viggen and I like the cards in the MFD's to remind me what the buttons do.

I think you can "save" pixels by putting the small displays under the big display.
All displays "in a row": (1920+800+800)*1080=3,8 megapixel
Big display on top, small under: 1920*(1080+600)=3,2 megapixel

Thank you for the comments!
Nice and compact. You might want to look a this as well:http://www.battle-fields.com/commscentre/showthread.php?25663-Project-Foldable-SimPit
It might give you some ideas if you want to expand it a bit.
Thanks!
I'm thinking about installing a hinge just below the joystick so that the MFD:s and display folds back over the seat while not in use...

I wanted to share my ongoing portable cockpit project. (Not englishspeaking so excuse my text :) )
When i fly DCS I setup my computer on the dining table in my livingroom. I needed a compact easy way to remove all my flight simming gear so my wife will not leave me ;)
I bought a regular dining table chair and cut the legs to make it shorter and a bit more relaxed (I cut the aft-legs a little bit more).
The center console has a compartment for all the cables and an USB-hub for easy connecting with only one cable to the computer.
I have mounted the thrustmaster MFD:s 90 degrees so I can access the cards from the side when I fly a different aircraft. The cards is printed on coloured paper with a monochrome laser printer and inkscape software.
I modded the throttle and added weight for a heavier feel. I just opened it up and put a couple of large square spacers inside. It does improve the feel of the throttle a great deal (sorry, no pics of the mod).
Black electrical tape on the throttle and stick for a more stealthier look and “anti slip tape” for better grip.
The throttle base is attached with a hinge for a more compact storage.
Future plans:
I have ordered a 7-inch display from ebay. It will be mounted in portrait in the middle between the MFD:s. I will put radar and RWR on the display
I have ordered a wireless numeric keypad to mount behind or in front of the throttle for more buttons.
Enjoy the pics!

I can't find any way to assign joystickbuttons for the weapon selector. Not in the sim yet? :)

Small update! Didn't make a "hinge" just yet. Added a small mousepad and keypad on the right. Perfect for the Mirage 2000 and the Viggens data panel and with a modifier on the throttle, the Viggens nav-buttons.
Still waiting for the 7-inch display to be delivered...
