  1. Just wanted to let everyone know, the thrustmaster warthog is on sale over at ocuk for £250 from new, add a few pound for postage as well I think. Best price in the UK at the moment, especially from new. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GC-032-TH&groupid=702&catid=288&subcat=352
  2. Never used to get any errors joining servers, now all of a sudden since last weekend I cant join 99% of the servers because of 'stream error' or 'connection interrupted'.
  3. That would be such a let down, each aircraft being its own game. Thankfully I believe ED have more vision then that, thats why they have made the game in a module format. As far as I know the DCS series will be all linked together so somewhere down the road you will have all of the planes/helo's lined up on the same airstrip. The ability to include all released aircraft in the same mission and in the same game. All of the modules should come together to create the ultimate aircraft simulation with epic fights. That is pretty much the whole reason behind makingthe game in a module format afterall.
  4. X-52 Deadzone: 0 X Saturation: 100 Y Saturation: 100 Curvature: 0 Slider Ticked. Completely straight line. Works fine, there is no reason to have a curve on the collective. If you do its not as if 50% setting (middle of curve) will be the point at which you will hover every time, that would fluctuate depending on your weight. Throwing a curve and deadzone on there only makes it harder to give precise inputs surely?
  5. Sounds like you have a deadzone setup somewhere. Check your TrackIR settings and remove any deadzones if you have them.
  6. 1-4) Sorry cant give a proper answer for these. But I can tell you its very much a 20th Century helicopter. 5) Personally I cant stand curves on my axis controls. On a curve like that it looks like at first you get nothing, then it picks up and you have more then you wanted/needed. First try lowering the curve, or taking it away all together. Then try lowering the saturation to give you less sensitive controles. This is what I use:
  7. I too had this problem when making my profile. I had to re-map the weapon release button to 'j'. For me I have weapon release on trigger one, and fire gun on trigger two. I find it helps when firing rockets, you dont have to keep pressure on the trigger while lining up the targets.
  8. I believe I've had this problem before. After spending all my vikhr I landed at a ship to re-arm. I reset my shkval and hud but left my master arm and laser standby switches both on. After landing I didnt shutdown and just switched the intercom to ground crew, re-armed and took off again. When I went to fire a vikhr I found that I could not get the range for the target, even though the laser standy switch was still in the on position, I did get the launch authorization but if I fired the missile did not track the laser and it hit the ground in front of me. When I turned the laser standby swtich to the off position I could then get a range to the target, but was still unable to fire as I did not get the launch authorization (C on the hud). So it seems they some how got mixed up. It was very strange, Ive not tried recreating the bug and it was a week or so ago now so I may not be recounting every detail precisely. But something was wrong.
  9. The switch for route mode is located on the collective.
  10. The switch is on the bottom left hand side of the panel behind the cyclic. You can press Rightshift + L to use it. It has three positions: On - Deploys the spotlight which "unfolds" from the fuselage. Off - Turns the spotlight off leaving it in the current position. Retract - "Folds" the spotlight back into the fuselage.
  11. Why would it be pressed on the keyboard if you have it assigned to a stick function. If that happens anyway then you change it to mode 3 and back to mode 2. That changes it from Route mode, to decent mode, and back to normal mode.
  12. Damn Im and idiot. It was so simple. Just made a macro that presses D once when I switch to mode 1, and then once again once I release it from mode 1. Was your post thart gave me the idea. Cheers.
  13. Yes as I asked in my first post is there a anyway I can change this, Either by editing a file or anything else? Would be great if I could get a reply from a dev as they would be the best ones to talk to about this. This is not an issue because as said in the first post I have left mode 2 unassigned, so when I dont want decent or route modes it is in mode 2 and not pressing any button causing any CPU problems.
