As far as i know KA-50 was used with great succes in Chechnya. KA-50 and Mi-28 are build simultaniously for different purposes. As of September 2007, there were allready 36 KA-50s in Russia ( wikipedia ), now propably more. Furthermore the army has a few weeks ago decided to put in Production KA-52 ( rian.ru )

I am more or less finished with my questions for today, cant think of more now. This isnt a thread only for me, so free to ask questions yourself and dont hide :thumbup:;) Btw. if so many of u think that x45 / 52 are worth their money ill try to find a used one for sure, my maximum is 50€ for the moment i cant spend more :cry: Amazon sells x45 for 70€ and x52 for 100€, will try it later at ebay

I just searched for "Throttle" in Google and must say : wow. Its not just peddals its a whole controle panel inclusive, but the Price :Flush::cry_2: About 100 €. If i get really thrilled by Black Shark i will first buy TrackIr i think ( also 100€, and that as a student :cry_2: ) Otherwise if Freetrack will work really good for me ( when i cant imagine Trackir to be really much better) than i will of course buy the throttle instead. But for the first months only the stick will have to do it for me. k thank you. I will fly the Black Shark then with Stick and will try to get a webcam from a friend for freetrack, since that could help really much. Otherwise only the stick will do it too if i have gotten you right :D :joystick:

I wont fly with only keyboard, i will buy a saitey hotas. btw another question: When using pedals + trackir is it just more comfortabe or do you get real in game advantages out of that, like better hit / death ratio etc.?

Hey guys, im really looking forward to Black Shark, would be my first simulation ever. I dont want to play it in the arcade mode, i want to start off with maximum realism since that what a simulation is for right? All input devices i have is a mouse and a keyboard. Since that doenst really match the needs of a flight sim i would buy a stick with release. Only problem is that i dont have the money for more stuff, like peddals or trackir. So can you tell me wherever i can play the game in simulation mode with stick / mouse / keyboard sufficiently? If not i have to think about the purchase twice :( greetz

hard to get something like that efficient enough, isnt wort that imo. They should release the core game as fast as possible without wasting time for useless stuff. I wanna play :joystick::pilotfly: ( Will be my first Sim ever, gonna even buy a Hotstick for the first time :D )

Hey Dudes, I read the FAQ and and some Threads here and i still have a few questions. The Engine will support Dual Core CPUs and Collidable trees and you will convert all modules to the new engine. My Question are: I not an expert in Software Engineering, but i imagine that i could get quite hard to convert a sim like Black Shark with a lot Variables and Formulas in it into a totally new engine. Will the new engine be based on the old, some way or another? Will the engine enhance the graphics of the game, or will it be the same graphics as now but with more features like collidable trees, limitless units and out of it the possibility for a dynamic campaign? I assume that the engine will require better Hardware compared to its forerunner, so will there be a fall back to the old in case my pc is for example to slow? Somewhat of a release date for the engine, like 2009 or 2010? Hope some of the questions are answerable.:D Greetings

Hey Dudes, have just completed the registration and allready starting a thread:music_whistling: I am seriously thinking of the role military choppers play in modern Warfare. I can see the advantages in transportation on the battlefield compared to planes, so i can see a place for pure heavy lift helicopters or Hybrids like the mi-24. But what is the point in pure Battle Choppers like appache or ka-50, when planes are faster, have higher range und more weapons onboard and posess heavier armour? For Example the A-10 can, in my point of view, replace the appache. Are such armed choppers only for low intenisity warfare against bat equipped guerillas without Manpands? I dont see their advanteges compared to planes, i see them as highly vulnerable especially in Urban warfare. Are they even usefull in a full scale conflict? Take for Example Nato vs Russia in Georgia. What would the Appaches and Ka-50s do what planes cant do? so can somebody explkain their role to me? ( Sorry for my english, its not my native language and i must hurry, work waiting for me now :cry: )
