  1. So i have only noticed this happening after the last update. It feels like its random when it happens, and is most prevelant when using dgf switch aft however this has happend in normal A-A mode aswell. i've tried to set up missions to replicate the problem without success. it seems like you have to dogfight for a while for this to happen. If you just load up a mission and shoot the sidewinder at the merge it works fine. it's worth to note that i have only tried this with the aim 9M. I have had one instance with 2 aim 120c's fireing while i was tring to launch a harm, however i think thats because i left the dogfight switch in aft possition even though i somehow got into a-g mode. I've experienced the bug in both multiplayer and singleplayer and i've mostly been playing on the syria map on the hogit SAW mission but the track file and video is in singleplayer (yes i finally got it to happen in a mission i set up just for this test. since it seems like you have to fight for a bit i leave in the full 5 min of gameplay.   2. Hello, i'm curious about how you guys have set up your countermeasures program in the Viper to be most effective? Had some trouble lately breaking SAM locks, despite notching dumping chaff and doing evasive maneuvers. So just looking for some inspiration in a program you have had succes with. Thanks!
  3. I got the bright idea of just rolling back to the previous update and doing todays update again. This fixed the problem.. I'm going to leave the post in case anyone else gets the same issue.
  4. This occured after the latest update (DCS 2.5.6.49798 Open Beta)27/05/2020. upon finishing the update i got prompted that there were extra files from an earlier, unfiished update. I assumed this was a littel bug as i updated yesterday without problems. I choose to deleted the files thinking all should be good. I then got a popup with information along the lines of .bin file is damaged, run a repair to fix it. I ran the rapair... The game loads up and logs on normally but then switches to a black screen prior to the loading screen apearing. The "dcs" text file in the logs folder (attached) says something about missing voice chat files. There is no separate crash file as the game never crashes. I have tried doing a repair with no effect. I have tried deleting the folder the files where suposed to be inn ( missionEditor file) , also with no effect.   5. Just noticed that the VSI on the hud is displaying half the value of the "steam" gauge variometer(VSI). After doing a quick check i found out that "steam" gauge is displaying correctly, and the hud is always displaying half of that. This can't be right is it? added a screenshot so you can see for yourself.
  6. not a bad idea. I tried setting up a user curve with this idea in mind and it works better now :thumbup: going to leave this screenshot with my curve values in case anybody else wants to try it for themselves :music_whistling:
  7. pretty much hit the nail on the head with this reply, and I do have the TWCS so that answers that. would be great if there were a way for this feature to be turned off, maybe in the special tabs? At the moment it's really annoying having that much of the throttle essentially being a massive dead zone. Anyways that answered my question. Thanks, guys!:thumbup:
  8. okay, so I'm not sure if this is a bug or what, but I'm going to report it here just in case. So the other day I noticed that when moving my throttle it didn't actually do anything in the hornet before it got to about 15-20% up. When looking in the axis commands tab in the controller menu, I can see that the throttle is giving input in that range. because of this, I don't think there is anything wrong with my throttle. Using the controls indicator (Rctrl + Enter) and looking at the throttle animation in-game I can see that it does not move before 15-20% up on my real throttle. Its worth mentioning that I do not have this problem in any of the other modules in the game. please see the added screenshot. here my throttle is set to around 15-20% as seen in the controls menu, but the throttle in the game is still at idle. So, after trying to update my open beta to the newest version I just get an error message saying: Can't move Z:\DCS World OpenBeta\_downloads\dxgui/skins/skinME/images/mission_editor/listbox_ME_arrow down_pressed.png to Z:\DCS World OpenBeta\dxgui/skins/skinME/images/mission_editor/listbox_ME_arrow down_pressed.png: (183) Cannot create a file when that file already exists. I've tried pretty much everything I can think of at this point. I have tried the repair, turning off my antivirus, deleting the folders all together and the good old turning the pc on and off again. Any suggestions are welcomed. autoupdate_log 2.txt
  10. So, I tried to fly the mission again after updating to version 2.5.1.16978. The mission works flawlessly now! Really enjoyed the mission Ranger, can't wait to fly the rest.
  11. Trying to fly through mission 2 but the Chinooks just land inside each other upon spawning at FOB Suse. I have attempted to fly the mission twice but still have the same problem. Really annoying as the campaign seems great so far. Any help is appreciated.:helpsmilie:
