Is there a noticeable smaller FOV with the custom lenses?

Thanks a lot for your comments regarding my questions. I think I will buy the Valve index because of the bigger FOV. It is very important in dogfighting. BUT: I have installed the NON STEAM version of DCS 2.7 open beta. Because of the steam VR powered Valve index i ask if the Valve is running with this game version? -Are the cameras in the front of the Valve index usable for looking to the real world (keyboard...)? I hate it to look alongside my nose out of the HMD to find any keys on the keyboard. -Unfortuantely I wear goggles. It is possible to wear this under the HMD? Or it is better to use contact lenses? -Did anyone use the VRfree gloves in the NON STEAM version od DCS 2.7 open beta? Usage of the contollers is not the best solution, mouse also not.

But the FOV is not so much higher than the Rift. Thanks for your comments. @AldoUSMC You`r right I shoul look in vr-compare sites. It´s al long process to find the "best one". What can you say about the Pimax 8K? It has the biggest FOV. Would be very nice. Thanks for your comments. @A2597As I said i must look for problems with the Reverb and my AMD chipset. @A2597, @speed-of-heatMy Specs are not visible? Should be in the signatur area below. I want to use the VR only for flight sim (seated VR), no other stuff. Important is the field of view. The Oculus Rift is like a diver goggle. It's very hard to check the six o´clock position because of the narrow field of view. And of course the resolution should be better than in the Rift. Maybe 2K would be ok if the VR experience is much better. Hopefully you can see my specs and maybe give me suggestions if my PC can handle the higher resolution (with less reduction of in-game graphic settings) and the bigger field of view. @dburneThanks. Hello together! Last week i changed from the 2.5.6 stable version to 2.7 open beta. As described in several threads i noticed also a massive frame drop in offline and, off course, in online missions. So i'm thinking about a new graphic card. Maybe a RTX 3090. In the case i'm able to buy one does it make sense to install this card to my old PC (i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz, 32 GB RAM) or should i invest in a new PC? Usually i use a Oculus Rift CV 2. But thinking also about a better one with more resolution (any suggestions?). Also i will use VRfree gloves. Thanks a lot for information Christian

Hallo Zusammen! Ich bin begeisterter VR-Pilot (Oculus Rift). Allerdings nervt mich das ständige Umgreifen von den Handcontrollern zum Steuerknüppel, bzw. zum Schubhebel. Das müsste mit diesen Handschuhen viel realistischer funktionieren- dachte ich mir zumindest. Aber es funktioniert gar nicht in DCS. Immerhin funktioniert es in der Kalibrierungssoftware. Es gibt sogar Videos bei YT wo mit diesen Handschuhen im Cockpit Schalter betätigt werden. Sonst hätte ich sie ja gar nicht bestellt. Nun bin ich ziemlich ratlos. Hat jemand auch diese Teile in Gebrauch und könnte mir ein paar Tipps geben? Viele Grüße Christian

Hallo Zusammen! Danke Euch für eure Tipps! Wie es aussieht wäre es wohl das Beste, wenn ich DCS neu installiere? Um alles neu aufzusetzen, fehlt mir irgendwie die Zeit. Außerdem funktioniert ja alles andere soweit. Hauptsächlich für fliga versuche ich noch drei Screenshots reinzusetzen. Mit diesen Einstellungen läufts recht gut was Ruckeln angeht. Nur habe ich zerrissene Grafik an den Tragflächenvorderkanten im Flug und am Boden beim schnellen Rollen. Wie bekomme ich denn hier Bilder rein? War mit WIN 7 auch ganz einfach. VG Chris

Hallo Zusammen! Bisher bin ich DCS mit WIN 7 und der Rift sehr gut geflogen mit fast vollen Ingame Grafikeinstellungen. Da ja nun der Support für WIN 7 Mitte Januar endet, musste ich nun auch auf WIN 10 wechseln. Nun kam es natürlich wie es kommen musste: DCS ruckt ziemlich wenn ich mit der Rift fliege. Es ist nicht wirklich zu ertragen. Die Frage ist nun, ob ich noch irgendwelche Settings ändern kann (außer die ingame settings wie Sichtweite, Bäume usw.), oder ob einfach das WIN 10 soviel Ressourcen verbraucht, dass ich mir eine neue Graka kaufen muss? Mein PC: Intel i7-4770; 3,4 Ghz; 32 GB Ram; Geforce GTX 1080 Wäre für Expertenrat sehr dankbar!!! Viele Grüße und schonmal ein frohes Fest Christian

Hallo zusammen! Ich würde gerne ein, zwei Videos machen. Am liebsten in der Außenansicht F3. Das Problem ist halt, dass man in dieser Ansicht schlecht fliegen kann. Ich bin zwar Modellflieger. Von daher ist das Umdenken beim steuern nicht das Problem. Nicht so einfach ist aber die Erkennbarkeit des Flugzeugs und dessen Fluglage bei größeren Entfernungen. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit beispielsweise die ME 109 normal vom Cockpit aus zu fliegen, alles aufzuzeichnen und dann später in der Videowiedergabe die Kamerapositionen frei zu wählen und dann das Video zu speichern? Bei Cliffs of Dover ging das irgendwie, wenn auch nicht sehr stabil im Prozess. Für Vorschläge von Euch wäre ich wirklich sehr dankbar!!!:) Grüße Christian
