For me the blackhawk is a "very expensive" Middle weight chopper that just barely beats the Huey UH-1Z.

It is well overpriced for its purpose and this shows in its sales. Both internally of the US of A and including its dependant countries that receive large military aid.

Tell this the countries who acquired the NH-90 😂

  2. Since the Chinook will not be a weapons platform, i am pretty sure, ED will develop a dedicated cargo system - it's needed for the C-130 as well. I don't think it's a coincidence, that both modules are being developed parallel.

Can you please try to temporarily remove them from the Liveries folder before starting DCS and see if the problem goes away?

I'm not looking for a workaround, but I need to find a way to reproduce this issue in order to report it.

I'll give it a try tonight and report back 👍

  4. I still haveproblems with the cockpits of the Mi-24P and the KA-50 III. in the MI-24P there is no english cockpit available for me and in the KA-50 III the ABRIS AMMS is also always in russian even though the rest of the cockpit is in english. With both modules in "english cockpit" chosen in the special tab

Yes, they are in the rocket lofting chapter of my weapons guide, find it here.

There are tables for the S-5KO and S-8KOM. Since 8OFP2 was never used operationally and OFP tables aren’t in the wild, it is up to experimentation.

Using the same techniques outlined for 5KO/8KOM lofting I wrote some basic numbers for S-8OFP2 that should get you in the right ballpark. Since they are the only true HE rocket, they are your best bet and despite the weight have more range lofting then the others.

    I love you - thanks a lot

I agree! Here is another video of me flying the MSFS one the other night in Norway.  ED or a third party really needs to pick this one up at some point.

Lovely! Would be a dream to have that a H-6 or an MD-500 modeled in DCS with an accurate Flight Model

I expect we'll see at least three gunner positions (left/right/ramp), but I hope we'll also get the left/right rear gunners as with some MH-47s (total of five gunner positions). Bonus points for M-134, M240, and M3 options as gunner armament.

There might be some people in the community who are willing to look into the possibility of making an Armed Chinook mod 😄

  8. In my view performance is affewcted by the combination of VR Headset and PC hardware. After 2.8 my FPS with the Oculus Rift were horrible. They dropped from constant 45 FPS to 25 to 35. As i wanted to upgrade hardware anyways, i switched to the Reverb G2 and i am back at 40 to 45 FPS in 2.8 despite the much higher resolution. And different settings have different consequences on different VR-rigs. E.G. OpenXR does not have a great performance impact on my system.

I'd love it. High-risk missions, penetrating air defense networks, dropping a pair right on target? Sure, it's one mission, but it's a capability unrealized in DCS in this manner.

Cool thing is, that's why i mentioned the Osprey Book - it was not only two bombs on one target. There are missions depicted with two bombs on two seperate targets in one pass with very specific ingress and egress routes at specific altitudes to realizes two successfull drops, that requires really precise flying.

As @Bananabrai mentioned the Fighter Pilot Podcast should convince everyone, who likes A/G stuff, that the Nighthawk would be a really cool addition - even with the simplified RCS simulation we have.

And in the end of the day every dedicated Bomber does one thing: it drops munition on a target. Imho that "one trick pony-argument" is not really convincing
