  1. Interesting. Thanks for checking. I tried on 2 other machines with WinRar and 7-zip, all 3 machines have a unknown format or damage message. Guess it's something on my end with the DL. But like I mentioned... all the other profile DLs (Hip, Gazelle, KA-50) worked fine. Cheers EDIT: I updated the WinRar software on an old machine and was able to open it there. 7-zip may not work for some users like me. All good now Capt Zeen!
  2. Can not open file as archive (FA-18C) Hi Capt Zeen, Probably a stupid question and has been answered before. I did a quick skim to see, but came up with nothing. I am able to DL your other Helios profiles and open them fine, except for the F-18 one. I get a "Can not open file 'C:\blah\blah\blah\Capt_Zeen_FA-18C beta update.rar' as archive. Suggestions?
  3. I see this as well... You are not alone.
  4. thxs i'll try this again... i must have missed a step, but I want to say I've done it just like you said. also... would it be possible to make multiple files for different pilots to load? For example: a mission that requires different goals, helo A and B load file 1234, and helo C and D load file 5678?
  5. Map the auto heading button on your stick and activate it when you are on course. Deactivate it when you need to bank, turn etc... it needs to be activated for turn on target as well. other than that i leave it off. If you leave you auto heading activated, you will fight your aircraft endlessly.
  6. I conducted a quick search in the forums and didn't spot anything helpful on this. So... I am building a mission, and would like there to be ABRIS information already stored for pilots to load (more than just waypoints, forward line of troops, suspected SAM threat areas.. etc). I have read the GUI on this: (quoted from another thread) "PREPARE MISSION. The PREPARE MISSION mode is used for integrating navigation and environment data into the saved mission file. When near the end of creating a mission, you can start the mission in the PREPAREMISSION mode (it will look much like usual FLY MISSION start) and create ABRIS data such as routes, navigation, target points, and drawing line objects. After completing ABRIS data input, you should save all the data to the virtual ABRIS hard disk as described in the Ka-50 flight manual. You should then exit from the mission and press the SAVE button in the ME to save all the prepared ABRIS data in the mission. With this data in the mission file (mission files are actually .ZIP files) the file will appear in the ABRIS\Database\ folder which consists of three files: ADDITIONAL.lua, NAVGATION.lua, and ROUTES.lua. You may open a .miz file with a program such as winzip. Additionally, using this procedure you can save ADF mission file data (beacon preset frequencies) in the \Scripts\Aircrafts\ka-50\Cockpit\Devices_specs\ARK.lua file. You can also set the GPS/GLONASS satellites constellation in the \Scripts\World\GPS_GNSS.lua file. If you wish to save custom beacons and satellite constellations in the mission, you must edit the proper files before entering PREPARE MISSION mode. For example, you can unzip the quick start mission and see this file structure" I can not seem to get this to work right. So could someone list a step by step process for the layman? It is possible to have ABRIS files to load up in game correct?
  7. I have had on a few occasions been supported by an Abrams, and to be honest if it had tracer you (I) couldn't tell (in daytime). Events in those environments don't allow you to stare wide eyed at the booms. But I was light infantry, so my xp is very limited with tanks. off topic a bit: At least we have a laser warning system in the shark to give you a heads up! Watch out for the T 55 (i think thats them) they dont have a laser (or dont seem to use it) so BOOM may be all you get.
