Don't worry about this - the video was made when the switches worked incorrectly and have been fixed since. They are not supposed to stay up - they should spring back to the middle, so it is correct as is.

There might be a very small delay, but we're talking hours or even minutes, not days.
Highly recommended transferring from Steam to ED, though. Just gives ED more money in the long-term, less to the middle man.
