  1. Just in case anyone else is reading this thread for the answer, you don't have to use the rearm-refuel panel to do this. When you create your mission in the mission editor you can go to the payload mode screen and right click on any pylon point and select a smoke pod (or other ordinance) there. The editor is smart enough to know what ordinance every pylon point can or can't handle. Very cool. Further explained on the DCS User Manual, pg 131.

  3. I bring up the rearm/refuel panel and my only choices are the same collection of bombs/missiles/ECM/rockets I have when creating the mission in the mission editor. No smoke pods to be seen. Do I need to create a custom loadout that includes smoke pods or something?
  4. Hi all, I can't seem to get the wingtip smoke (default kybd command 'T') to operate on my Su-33 (or the Su-25T or TF-51D for that matter). I'm new to DCS from LOMAC where it wasn't necessary to load up a specific smoke pod, just hit 'T', so I'm not sure if there's a procedure to follow on loadout to make this work. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find any explanation of how to get this to work in the Flight Manual. I found this line in the default.lua so it seems like it should work: -- {combos = {{key = 'T'}}, down = iCommandPlaneWingtipSmokeOnOff, name = _('Toggle Smoke'), category = _('Systems')}, Any help would be appreciated ;) Thanks!

Hi all, after years of playing LOMAC 1.0.2 (after beginning my flight sim career back in the mid 90's with Jetfighter II and the DOS Flanker) I finally decided to take the DCS plunge and buy the Su33 addon yesterday. The flight manual is so beautiful I've printed it out for in depth study and I've been reviewing the threads in this forum to get up to speed. I have a couple questions: 1) I've seen multiple mentions of an upgraded Kuznetsov with improved chocks/launch procedure. Can anyone tell me the status of that? I'm running DCS World 1.5.7.10175, is this upgrade something that will automagically happen or do I need to go out and grab a patch? 2) I had several custom painted skins for my Su33 in LOMAC and was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of instruction in doing the same in DCS? Thanks ;)

  7. I'm running 1.5.7.9915 and have noticed something bizarre about all the F18-C skins. They all have this odd group of 3 off-color box rectangles that certainly look like they don't belong there. Also, after noticing this in a totally vanilla install with no mods, I put a Blue Angel skin under Bazar/Liveries/f_a-18c and the boxes are still there even though they don't appear in any of the Blue Angel *.dds files. Can anyone tell me why and/or how I can eliminate these 3 box rectangles? I'm planning on buying the F18 when it becomes available and want to fly a Blue Angel skin, but these boxes totally ruin the look of it :( Thanks!!!

  9. Hi all, I've been flying LOMAC for years and have painted my own skins and installed them with Modman. I'm planning to make the cutover to DCS once the Hornet becomes available. My questions are: 1) Will I be able to use my LOMAC Blue Angel Hornet skin for the DCS version of Hornet? 2) I currently use Modman 7.3.0 for LOMAC and notice that it doesn't have an option for DCS. Is there a later release that I should use that is DCS friendly? Thanks!
