  1. Good evening all!🙂

I can reccomend a book called "Den trettonde Bomben" (The thirteenth bomb) in English, written by Mats Svensson

It´s a fictional book about a  modified 37 Viggen among many other things... It is the first book in a trilogy. (Also a bit cheesy at times)

Interesting and bit creepy plot. I do not know if It´s translated!?

The other two books is called: "De tolv majestäterna" (The twelve majesties) in English and "Det elfte budet" (The eleventh commandment) in English.

    ISBN:

    978-91-7903-522-8 (The thirteenth bomb)

    978-91-8018-437-3 (The tweleve majesties)

    978-91-8018-637-7, (The thirteenth Commandment)

I think the first book is fairly good. The second and the third book is not as good as the first. (This is of course my personal subjective opinion as a reader).

I can also add a recommendation about books that describes subjects regarding renhanxues post above:

A book about what renhanxue describes is called "Guide till Spionernas och underrättelsetjänsternas Sverige" (A guide to the spies and intelligence services Sweden)

    ISBN 978-91-7329-178-1

There is also a complete chapter about the paintingsellers etc. in a book called "Svenskt flyg under kalla kriget" (Swedish aviation during the cold war)

    ISBN 978-91-7329-134-7

I can also recommend a book called "Om Svensk signalspaning under kalla kriget (About Swedish signalreconnaissance during the cold war).

    ISBN 978-91-7329-149-1

All above books is written in Swedish and I do not know if they have been translated.

I apologize for any grammatic-,writing- and spelling errors since English is my second language and I am not very good at it.😉

  2. Hello Rudel_chw!

    Swedish skins:

There is HKP 3 (UH-1) skins. Both Army and Air Force variants,,

I have to remove the pylons from the UH-1!

Otherwise the skin will be corrupt. (Army version)

I do not know how to fix that?

    Also HKP 16 (UH-60A) skins,

I've got Russian/Soviet air forces/air defence forces done, I'm probably 99.99% finished with Soviet/Russian naval facilities, including what units were where and when (see this for an example).

I've also started on the electrical grid (or at least major parts of it, such as power plants and distribution facilities) as well as some civilian points of interest (such as the facilities of Andøya space), though that's still quite incomplete.

I think I've got Norway's air defence sites (both current and historical) done (including EWR, CRC and CAOC facilities), though aerdromes still need fleshing out with what units were present and when, same for Finland and Sweden (though in all cases I've got most-to-all of them marked, including highway strips. I am sure however, that there are probably still some minor aerdromes that that I've missed).

I've done a couple of Finnish EWR sites that I was lucky enough to spot and make out what radars were/likely are present but Sweden's network is fairly elusive (I have got a single document showing very rough locations of at least 1 radar type, but it doesn't help that many of their radars at least appear to have submersible versions that can retract into hardened silos when needed, much like the Norwegian SINDRE I/II radars) - there's next to nothing about them online.

I'm also going to include NAVAIDs where possible and airspace (at least North European Aerospace Test range (comprising of the Vidsel and Esrange ranges), this is still quite incomplete, but this at least should be fairly easy.

I've also heavily used ww2.dk in doing the Soviet/Russian side of things, but there are cases where I've had to fill in its blanks (namely the 161st submarine brigade), using other sources and satellite imagery.

    Hello Northstar98!

Regarding the Swedish radar stations there were the PS-65 radar, PS-15 along the coast (125m high radar towers). During the 70:s there were the PS-66 och later the PS-860 wich was submersible into concrete silos. There is a good book, with some text and pictures of these called, Svenskt flyg under kalla kriget. (Swedish aviation during the cold war in English). ISBN 978-91-7329-134-7. Unfortionately is this book written in Swedish.  Another Swedish book wich includes maps over radar stations (PS-65, PS-66 and PS-15) in Sweden is JA 37 Viggen written by Jan Forsgren, ISBN 978-91-88885-81-4.

  4. Hello!

I think that there should be some sort of priority to a module that have been in early access since 2017.

I do understand that F-14, for example, is a more popular aircraft among many in the DCS community and that there is a great anticipation for the F-4 as well.

But as a customer I really think that bug fixes for the Viggen module  should be a bit more of a priority.

It feels like the Viggen module hav been put to a lower priority for some time concerning bug fixes.

( I do of course understand that bux fixes do not generate income/revenue like a new release of a module).

I am REALLY looking forward to the December patch and HOPE that at least this bug, with "submerged" wheels, will be fixed!

For me the Viggen module is my absolute favorite module! I have not used the Viggen module since the bug with "submerged wheels" started. It is most annoying!

  5. Hello!

I have a problem with the AJS 37 after the DCS Open Beta 2.9 update.

    I use multi thread exe.

The aircraft is sunken into ground when on ground. No problem with AI AJS 37, only when I am player.

I have no problem with the F-18C module either.

The same problem occurs on Caucasus map, Syria map and Sinai map.

I own The South Atlantic map and the persian gulf map but have not installed and tested on them.

Other than that the AJS 37 module works fine as far as I know.

    Hello Maxsenna!

You have just quoted my old gymnastics teacher from school when I was young!!!

The Swedish version: "Det finns inget dåligt väder, bara dåliga kläder"!😄

I have also taught my own kids that old rule...

  7. Hello again!

I had to try again  and I changed the curvature to 7 on my throttle Z setting in DCS.

Now MS is 96% and I also manage to go to M0.80/965km/h with MS at ISA conditions.

At M.080 at flight level 100+meters, a climb at 5 degrees does NOT have such a dramatic reduction in speed.

Other than that I believ that the acceleration still is a bit slower than before. (It might be my imagination, I don´t know).

    I Attach my new(Ny in Swedish) .trk-file.

  8. Hello again TOViper!

Thank you VERY MUCH for your response.

    Ah! That´s a relief!

Thank you for the tip!  I should have consulted THE manual!😉 (Well I´m not smarter than this I´m afraid!)😆

Believe it or not but I have printed out the whole HB AJS 37 manual and put it into a binder about 3 or 4 years ago... It´s the first version...

I also have made a printout of the SFI into binders...

Thanks again TOViper and I will try and adjust my throttlesettings...

I hope you will have a continued nice weekend!

  9. God morning TOViper!

    Thank you for your reply!🙂

    YES!

I am at ISA conditions and the acceleration seems less than before.

I managed to reach M0.70/850km/h at MS (Max släckt) after SEVERAL minutes at level fligt and at 100-200m AGL, ISA conditions.

During 5 degrees climb to 2000m, I lost speed quite fast at MS and at 2000m my speed was M.06 or just below 700km/h.

I started the aircrafts stopwatch when i passed 600km/h after takeoff.

In may, earlier this year, there was no problem to reach 950km/h at MS.

I have used this module since It´s release back in 2017 and to me, the aircraft feels slower than before and the engine much weaker!?

I have also tried to experiment with my throttle settings in DCS.

I use a TM Warthog HOTAS system with jostick an thriottle.

AJS 37 is the module that I use 90-95% of my time in DCS. (The rest 5-10% is in the F-18C)

I am a Single player only and use DCS OpenBeta MT.

I don´t know I something is messed up with my throttle setings? At MS the thrust reads 94% and at full afterburner (Zon 3) the thrust reads 97%... (When looking outside the aircraft)

I have also attached a trackfile from a CAS-mission on the Syria map. I made this in the Mission Editor.

    Best regards!

  10. Hello!

    I do agree with Letute.

After takeoff with a full load of 4 x Arak, 2 x Rb24J and a external fuel tank and  and FULL afterburner (Zon 3), at level flight with full throttle without afterburner (When 600km/h is passed), the plane can barely accelerate!?

The AJS 37 seemed faster and the engine felt stronger before this patch (July patch).

I do believe that the problem remains after the latest patch as of 17th of August. (At least for me).

(I have read the note that no update of the AJS 37 Viggen module was made except compability with the new version of DCS Open Beta).

I use DCS Open Beta, MT  and Syria map.

I wish everybody a nice weekend!

    Best regards:
