  1. Let's be honest here, Me262 is not the most needed aircraft for DCS WW2 at the moment. I'm sure they'll do it, but just not right now.

The problem is the timeframe of all aircraft, we'd much rather have an older german plane like the Bf109 G6:

    I'm quoting Tapi's topic here

    Quote

    A) England & France (January-June 1944)

    Map: The Channel

    Luftwaffe: Fw 190A-8, Fw 190F-8, Bf 109 G6-Late,

    AI: Ju 88 A-4

Allies: Spitfire Mk. IXC, P-51D Mustang, P-47D-30 Thunderbolt, Mosquito FB Mk. VI

    AI: B-17G, A-20G,

With just a new aircraft (or 2) you made january/june 44' playable.

But, if you really want to have the me262 in a good environement, you'll need:

    Quote

    C) Late-War Scenario (September 1944 - may 1945)

Map: The Netherlands and Rhineland map

    Luftwaffe: Bf 109K4, Fw 190D-9, Me 262A, Fw 190F-8

Allies: Tempest Mk. V, Spitfire Mk. XIV, P-51D Mustang (with 150-grade fuel), P-47D-40 Thunderbolt (with 150-grade fuel)

As you can see the me262 would really need a lot of new allies fighter, and, a new map if we want to be historically accruate.

    Doing it alone is nonesens.

I think that's why the me262 is postpone. it just don't fit in the DCS WWII for now...

excellent idea. Keeping in mind though, that percentages are not always proportional to time required, i.e.even if something is 95%complete, the last 5% could be much more difficult or time-intensive than the previous 25 or 50%.

True, but it's just to have a rough idea of what is coming and what is going on !

  3. Yea it was IA !

Maybe i was close but we can see all the hit he took. Last time a german hit me with 20mm, it cut my wing in a few shot (way less than in this video).

    So here is my question:

    - Is the german and british 20mm equivalent ?

    - Is it the Bf109 k4 more resistant than the Spitfire ?

    - why do i shoot so badely 😂 ?

  4. Hello,

I have an idea for the newsletter to let people more informed on the differents topics you're working on. You talk about the damage model, VOIP, Cloud etc but we see it once in a while and have no info for month.

Would be great to have at the end of each newsletter a list of topic with % of completion like this:

    Core game news

Cloud system : 60 % [working on sync]

Multicrew : 90 % [beta testing] > exept release november update

New 3D asset : BMP done [infantry and humvee are next]

    VoiP: [On Hold]

    etc.

Just my 2 cent here 😉

I made shoot and kill with only 1 or 2 20mm impact with the Spitfire.

    I hope that a bloody joke !

Look how many shoot before the k4 get shot down:

Are the german plane made of Adamentium like wolverine ? x)

Anyway, we all agree we need G6 and TempestV to better match the planeset we have !

balanced a little bit more the gap between bullets or plane damage ...

I don't think it should be balanced. The issue here is not really the DM but the plane we're flying.

    "late 44's K-4 (with very late 44' MW50) vs late 42's Spit".

Like Max says, we need more modern fighter (Tempest V, Spit Mk14) to fight the K4 and the upcomming me262.

On the other hand Axis need more 42-43' fighters like the bf109 G6 !

Here is a good summary by Tapi of what aircraft we need to make things more balanced:

  7. Interesting. Where does this come from?

However, I don’t think that this comes from FB.VI - the fuselage tanks are too big. 68 gallons is probably from a bomber or phororecce variant (should be 25 gal). Also, I think that the wing tanks of FB.VI were of pairs of equal size tanks.

    It come from
