  1. Or the aerobatic sight was really a recon sight.
  2. Since the beginning of this little game i've got mixed feelings. I hope that each new hint don't swipe the others, and at the same time, i hope they do.
  3. What if the "satellite image" was a close-up picture of an aerobatic sight gauge ?
  4. Just said that 3 posts over, but why a lone SPAD ? Serbian air force historical pack 1917-2017 confirmed ?
  5. But Spads are from 1917 not 1970.
  6. I'll say it a third time, but there could be multiple birds. Or we're getting trolled hardcore. With the Super Galeb we had it all until the 5th & 6th hints. Damn.
  7. We are now pretty sure it'll be a Super Galeb. But remember guys, there might as well be surprises.
  8. One guy on reddit (slamonfingers) said something right : "[...] it might be a F-100 Super Sabre? It fits the 'super' clue, looks a bit like the shadow in the recon photo, and served with the Thunderbirds." I could add that the A-4 Skyhawk could also be a theory, having served in the Blue Angels. Or, due to "suprises", it could be a CM-175 Zéphyr. Yep, best guess from my POV.
  9. Nope, it's an Aresti plan, for aerobatic figures.
  10. Or maybe i know it too much ? ;)
  11. I'm not against props, i'm against WW2 planes. Well, we've had plenty of super WW2-sim. Don't need more of them. Now, if we could do some 50's to modern-era fighter, that'd be great. Even modern propeller would be great, i'd kill for an OV-10.
  12. What if "super" wasn't in the name ? And what if there was multiple aircraft ? To quote : Let's be honest here, anything else than the Buscaylet-Bechereau BB.2 would not be a surprise for me. Just because i hate surprises. I want a planned airplane. Please. Joke aside, the 3D image was showing a riveted steel plate, so any aircraft from 40 to the early 70's would be a good guess.
  13. Icing conditions are pretty simple : Point de rosée = Dew Point Température = Temperature (Obviously) Nuages = Clouds Givrage = Icing Léger = Light Modérer = Moderate Sévere = Severe So you can simply say if conditions are between this and this, and if clouds are on. Then icing conditions starts. Almost every sims has it. X-Plane more immersive than others, but i'd be perfectly fine with some pitot or engine icing.
  14. Icing conditions, even on airplanes, would be really cool.
  15. He doesn't have to, because his work is private and he only shares screenshots of his experiment. And nobody said it's wrong, we're putting arguments to discuss about a thing you said : "If you look at original photos taken in Korea they were nowhere nearly so shiny as the ones you see at airshows today.". It's a discussion you know ? Now, let's be honest, if your first picture is not-that-far in terms on reflectiveness from your skins, the second is really showing something interesting : you can see the environment in the jet, which is, afaik, not the case for your skins. Maybe a little bit too matty ? Again, could be wrong.
  16. Reflectiveness of old jets was a debate that occured many times over the years ... photos from this era were not as good as today's (obviously). Still, no one ever asked a F-86 owner how much polish do they use today to keep them as shiny ... if they use polish. Taking the highest quality pictures from the 60s-70s (many of them from NASA or USAF tests units), tells us that they're shinier than what i see from your skins. May be wrong tho. Now, dirtiness can change the perspective, but by how much ? Nice work Rick.
  17. Hey Happened yesterday night, a F-5 (or so i think) rammed me by accident from behind : I know it's some french quality over there :music_whistling: but isn't it a lil'bit too strong ?
  18. It isn't a NOTAM website, it's the official website for all OAT flights & aircraft in France. Thus, you can ask information about everything that military flies to them and i can assure you they'll answer 99% of time positively, even for tech infos. I did it for some modders in the FSX/P3D french community for some french navy operational aircrafts (it may be why they answered positively, idk). The fact is you can even open some backdoors really easily with them. Some of them are simulation enthusiast flying on DCS or IVAO (if you know the network ?). It's one source to consider. Mirage 2000C is still in service in the FAF. And the stories i'm telling you were from 2007, the F1 was still in service and the IV was just out from service. The III was indeed out of service for quite some time in the FAF ... but not in the Swiss Air Force. And still, we could negotiate with them for all of these projects. All you need is to ask them BEFORE, have some people in your contacts & pretty much anything is feasible. I'm not naive, you know i've been in this very business for quite some time. Searching for infos in France is really not that difficult, and asking the CEO of "who-knows-company", is not either.
  19. The new update made some real improvement to the blurry nature of the Gazelle during forward flight, still i find the Gazelle overreacting during hover flight. Unlike what i'm used to in real life, where the aircraft is doing what you're asking, the virtual Gazelle is always continuing a little bit after you stopped your input. In reality, aircrafts are always more precise than what you can find on sims. There's less inertial component to turns & bank angles. That may be the only thing i'd have to criticize about almost every virtual aircraft (except Dreamfoil B407).
  20. Corrected.
  21. ... or the Australia for that matter. No, it's just my ignorance, because i didn't know Spain had it & even the Bo-105.
  22. Why are you thinking ahead of developers and market ? The question is : what do you want ? Not : By a rational mind & taking economical event into account, what kind of non-fixed aircraft would commercialy-speaking concievable on a military flight simulation ? Especially when it comes to : If you want it, others want it. Pretty simple. Guys, if the developpers said it's an option, it's an option. Don't overthink ahead of them. Nope. And you know, french community really knows about how much Dassault can be a pain in the ass when it comes to flight simulator. They do not want any kind of products in our simulators. It stopped one famous FS dev from working (Roland Laborie, Rollus13). When he did the Rafale, Dassault put it to a complete & brutal stop. Also, there was this fan-made simulator in 2007. And some freeware projects about the Mirage IV, the 2000, and the list goes on. And still, what do we have here ? A Mirage 2000. And Restauravia did a complete & nice model of the Mirage III & F1. And those two planes are coming on DCS ... see ? Plus, we're not talking about Dassault but Eurocopter, and while it's still hard, they're way more open-minded than Dassault ever was. And yes, you can find technical manual, also tactical one and military documents on the internet. We even have an official source : http://www.dircam.dsae.defense.gouv.fr/ Again, say what you want, not what you think will work.
  23. So, let's try to convince you with my broken english as to why the EC665 should be the next project. 1. : It's the next logical step from the Gazelle. As the Gazelle is the primary trainer (with the EC-120) for French Army pilots, the next logical step would be a Puma, a Caracal, a NH-90 or a Tiger. Plus, the Tiger being the Gazelle's (Bo-105's) brother-in-arms & replacement, it's an evident continuity for Polychop's work & it'd be a must-have co-op experience. 2. : OH-58 the best co-op helicopter ? Meh. Forget the OH-58, you'd do the greatest coop with the Tiger & Gazelle (or Bo-105), creating offensive action with up to many many players in an immersive & realistic experience. And just imagine having a BPC Mistral to complete the picture ? 3. : You could learn aviation to people from A to Z From the French Army's single-engine simple trainer to the bi-engine super-modern attack helicopter, you'd do the humanity some good by learning to people - how to destroy their neighborhood - the mighty science of flying an helicopter. And not only is it accessible to people (unlike those fighters or heavy helicopters), it's also fun & it contain weapons like in CSGO. Plus, see point 2 about coop. 4. : Learn about German, Spanish & French culture Yes. Our respective armies are somewhat ... cool when it comes to documents. Almost everything, not to say everything, is accessible on the very internet you use. And for other more secret-y things, you could always ask a german, spanishman or frenchman. Like me. (Yes, that's skis under the wheels) 5. : It's not that restricted Contacting the French, Spanish or the German army is not really that complicated and convincing them & Eurocopter to let us have this marvellous helicopter, only takes some wine. It's a small price to pay compared to jail.
  24. Well, i don't think we should care about classification. We should only think about what we really want. If they give us the option, they think it's feasible. Even if we should not take a proposal for granted. For me, it's the Tiger : it's the next logical step from the Gazelle, one helo we never seen in a game, plenty of my non-aviation friends would buy the module, like they did for the Gazelle, because they'd get hyped, and thus i could run my own virtual EAALAT :D I don't really know what my second choice would be, but if it has shared cockpit & efficient weapon (which the Gazelle doesn't have ) count me on. And if it's european and modern (EC635 for instance) it's a big plus.
