Why the B variant?
Su-24B
He entered service on 1975 (only 6 Su-24B were manufactured) in the Su-24 version, designated Fencer by NATO. He then carried 7000 kg of offensive charges under 6 points of carriage. It was the first Soviet aircraft to have an integrated avionics, that is to say that few antennas exceed. He possessed a Puma navigation and fire control radar and a Relyef nose-tracking and obstacle avoidance system in the nose, an Orion-A Doppler pulse radar, an Orbita-10-58 computer and a Sirena radar warning detector. The ejector seats were Zvezda K-36D Zero-Zero type. It was built from 1971 to 1983. It can also carry 2 to 4 AA-8 missiles of self-defense.
It was produced in several Blocks, like American devices: Blocks 4, 8, 9, 12 and 14 represented the initial series, bringing each time a modification.
The Fencer-B (Block 15 and 21) was distinguished by the appearance of a tail parachute.
The B version of the Su-24 is clearly obsolete and probably declassified, which leaves a real possibility of the realization for DCS WORLD !!
The Su-25T and the Ka-50 are much more modern for example than the Su-24B..
