  1. Do you guys get precise HMS tracking? I mean do you find it hard to stabilize your view on a target? I can only get the sight approx. close, and the I have to use the SHKVAL to lock on. What are your Trackir settings?
  2. Is there any "official" explanation on how the "altitude hold" dampener actually holds altitude? When does it decide to hold, and when does it decide to change? The manual says something about the "Collective brake" and altitude hold. Can anyone explain? I dont really understand it: "Once the brake has been released and a signal is sent to the navigation system, the lever can be used to assign a new altitude when using the altitude hold mode." What does this mean?
  3. I do not completely understanding what this button (altitude hold "B") does. It kinda holds the altitude, but not really. Can someone explain? 1. When it is not active my altitude varies (becomes unstable). And when I activate the altitude stabilises. But if I move my collective a bit more, the altitude changes, even though the button is ON. How does it hold the altitude? I don't understand. 2. What's the reason for it activating when I press hover hold, but not de-activating, when I deactivate the hover? The altitude hold is still on? Why? Why doesnt the de-activation of hover give me back my altitude control?
  4. Okay, just a few hardware questions: I've got a E6500 and a 8800 GT. Running at 1920 x 1200 I get very decent framerates when there's no action. In fact I can't see any real difference when shifting to lower resolutions. I get about 40 fps, with some small "hiccups" at base (not measured). Graphic settings at medium. Running XP, and not seeing any improvement with the "use-all-cores" tweak. But when Hell Breaks Loose and the action begins and I start searching for targets with the Shkval it going too slow. Also when flying over cities and with moderate action I loose too much FPS. Going down to about 15 - 20 fps. 1. Would I gain anything upgrading my card? Or is it processing power I need? 2. Would there be a big difference from my E6500 and to the new Core 2 Duo's? 3. Is it better to wait for the new DCS-engine, and buy the Intel I7?
  5. I'm using a CH Fighterstick and the POV to control the Shkval TV. I have programmed all pov-directions (8 of them). But I find the Shkval movement way too "stubborn". I want it to be much more fluid....more analogue-ish. Now the Shkval movement is more like: "Move left - STOP - move up - STOP - move upleft - STOP". It's impossible to get a decent lock on a helicopter. Is there any way to program this into the CH software? Or are we limited by the game itself?
