Thanks for all your help guys, more so Legolasindar, did all you said on your last post, and now it works fine, on the cougar:thumbup:, but i will invest in a set of rudder pedals.... have never played counter strike nor will i ever play it:cry: im just trying to say how slow this is for me, i never said it was slow for anybody else? TBone

oh right, So slow load times is acceptable, in this day and age of games, not. ive never known a game to be this slow at loading in missions Tbone

did you have to mod it, to get it to work with, your cougar, which ones did you go for? And Thanks guys, will look into getting some, Would also like to say, if i assign rudder left rudder right rudder to my cougar, it doesnt work anyways, got it on btn14 and btn12, tryd diffrent assignments, no good?, so it looks like i stick with the keyboard ZX rudder, or i invest in new set of peddles Thanks for all your help kind regards Tbone:thumbup:

A: The GUI and the game engine are separate entities and you are seeing the simulation switch from one to the other. There are two reasons for this: 1) shutting down the GUI prior to game start frees up more resources for the game engine and 2) the GUI is written on new technology that is not yet backwards-compatible with the game engine. We hope to resolve this as DCS is updated with upcoming modules. But that doesnt tell me why it takes so long to load? does it, and this bit frees up more resources, you are kidding me? not on my rig it dont regards TBone

im trying to set up my rudder, on my cougar, but unlike other games were you just click a button on your flight stick, it assigns, it to that button, with this game you have to chose it from a drop down list, here lies my problem, i dont no what button in the game control list, represents what button, is on my cougar:( im useing this at the moment DCSBlackShark_V.TMJ, but when im in hover mode, i cant turn left or right, or i cant find the key also has anybody made any hotas cougar prifiles:thumbup: any help plz regards TBone

Great game, But, why is the load times so slow Whenever i click on a mission, it quits to decktop then, it does nothing for at least 1 minute, then the mision, desides to load in, with multible flickering load screens, the after about 2 minutes all in, Im playing the game? My specs Am2 Amd 6400+ Crucial Ballistix 4GB (4x1GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz XFX Graphics Card Geforce 8800 Ultra Xxx 768mb Black Dog edition Windows vista 32 250 sata2 hard drive Any help would be nice plz... regards TBone:joystick:

I toke the plunge, purchased the russian version, will also get the english version, when its released But would like to say thanks for a great sim, toke me a long time to fly this heli, right from clicking all those switches in the cockpit, to actually flying it and i got to say, the feeling i got when i first heard those engines starting was great:thumbup: anyways thanks regards Tbone:pilotfly:
