  1. ok so I found the issue,,, For some reason in MT the Thustmaster TPR Pendular pedals driver was holding the brakes on at about 20% in MT,, It did not occur in Standard VR and or 2D... I removed the drivers and just stayed with the Microsoft USB controller Driver for the pedals and all is well.... Not entirely sure how MT affects this driver but seems totally strange to me.. I guess the point is the issue is resolved... If Flappie you still want the two tracks can reinstall and do them for you if that is going to contribute to the development of this software. Thanks MAXSenna checked this setting and it was not flagged so have done this now. Bob
  2. so not sure how to describe this but I use VR MT in DCS but recently the A10C takes a lot of time and needs a lot more runway to get to Takeoff Speed. I created a simple free flight runway takeoff at Batumi and then run the mission firstly in VR, MT OpenXR , VR single thread, Open XR and then just on the monitor 2D,, what I noticed was:\ it takes a lot more throttle to taxi in VR MT as opposed to, VR Single thread and 2D, as I ran out of runway before being able to takeoff. Both VR Single Thread or normal VR and 2D (monitor) all was what I considered normal was able to take off in about 50% of the runway length. Now I also noticed I needed to reach in excess of 130 knots to take off,, Now all controls are identical,, same mission same HOTAS so any ideas out there? Now for clarity my system is Intel 13900KF processor RTX 4090 Corsair RAM (128Gb) MSI MEG Z790 Ace Motherboard Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog and pendulum pedals Game has its own SSD (2TB) Samsung 990
  3. So my System is MSI Creator X299 128GB RAM Intel i9 9980XE overclocked to 4.1Ghz Operating System Windows 10 (Latest) on dedicated SSD Eagle Dynamics DCS World has its own SSD (Slot 1 so directly connected to CPU, (Samsung 980 Pro 2TB) MSI Ventus 3090 TI 24Gb HP Reverb G2 VR System is Water cooled. All my terrains work really well greater than 60 FPS with the exception of Marianna's where the FPS goes down as low as 2FPS with freezes at ground level , I have turned off shadows to flat all around, Textures are medium and Low I have noticed that GPU VRAM is loading up to 23.3 Gb of 24Gb as compared to all other maps being less than 6Gb of the GPU VRAM.. I am guessing right now that the GPU is Bottlenecking at this level of utilisation and not entirely sure why this map required so much VRAM on the GPU, The GPU does not overheat, The CPU is fine. I have followed every hint, suggestion rebuilt Shaders in both saved games and terrain. with no improvement in the FPS unless I take off go to greater than 5000 Ft then I can fly over Anderson and the city with ok results, Low level really low FPS. If anyone has any suggestions to improve the frame rate in VR it would be appreciated. Testing is done with FPS VR, GPU Temp never above 70 degrees Celsius, CPU Temp never above 60 Degrees Celsius. 4. Hello all,, ok moved from the Oculus Rift to the Reverb G2 and was setting up controller bindings, In DCS World Config my reverb controllers show up as a single Vivo controller,, now I have searched everywhere and cannot find any information.. Has anyone else experienced this and does anyone know if there are Controller Bindings that can be downloaded for DCS World Openbeta? any information would be appreciated. I am also assuming right now that stuttering on startup screens is a STEAM VR issue? Regards Bob System is: MSI Creator X299 Intel i9 9980 XE 128GB RAM NVME M2 (OS) NVME M2 (Games) MSI RTX3090 Ventus OC GPU VPC Warbird Base with Thrustmaster Grip Thrustmaster HOTAS Throttle (A10) Thrustmaster Pendulum Pedals

    April Fools!

Ok really wierd 3 Bar slot machine in left DDI (Really) ok so just did an update in DCS World Open Beta and took it for a test run,, used FA18C Block 20, went through start up manual, took off Left DDI had HUD in it,,, when I went to lower the gear for landing pressed the appropriate key on my HOTAS and the Left DDI then showed a 3 Bar Slot machine,, rotated the characters played a WAV file... Pretty sure this is an issue.. PS Gear does not come down even with the Keyboard. Has anyone else seen this? I have tried repair no change So question is should I remove FA18C from MODS and re-install or is this a complete rebuild of DCS OpenBeta? I am not joking, this is not fake.. looking for guidance
  6. Sorry quick reply got me there 3: Set core affinity to all cores 4: Found metashaders 2 amd FXO under C:\users\Bob\Saved Games and deleted So now have a constant 90FPS on ground and constant 45 fps when running a mission with DEfault Super Sampling at 1.7, so will continue to tweak and play but thanks to all those that offered up some assistance, I appreciate the thought and the effort.. Better than the 8-12 I was getting at times.
  7. ok so have come some way to resolving this.. 1: Get rid of Intel Turbo Boost.... 2: Turn OFF ASW in OTT 3:
  8. Clean install and there is no metshaders2 folder on the system anywhere..
  9. Oculus Rift CPU settings CPU clocked at base 3.7Ghz RAM at 3.3Ghz Boost is at 4.7Ghz
  10. Ladies / Gents I am genuinely looking for some guidance: First my system specs: ASUS X299 Mk 2 Motherboard Intel i9 9980 Exteme (18Core 36 Thread) 128Gb RAM (3300) Geforce RTX2080ti SSD for Operating system (dedicated) SSD for DCS (dedicated) Running OTT 0.86 Beta 1 Super Sampling (1.5) ASW (Default) Power Options (High Performance) Oculus Rift Windows 10 X64 Samsung 50" UHD curved monitor Thrustmaster HOTAS well all of it, pedals, HOG throttle, HOG Joystick DCS World High settings (and tried low and VR settings setup) Now my system seems to be close to the top of line available.. but the problem I am having is frame rate.. occasionally get to 45fps in VR bur more likely 25 fps and sometimes lower I have followed read every guide, you tube video, forum I can find but nothing see,s to improve it.. So really confused as to how people are rock steady at 45fps and or 90 with a system spec less that the 1 above.. As an aside in 4K full screen no VR and using Track IR performance is good.. greater than 60Fps constant maxed out. Is there an idiot sheet that someone has that can guide me further,, to improve performance. Any advice will be appreciated.. regards Bob

  12. Morning Evening All, I have searched several forums and thread but cant find an answer... so sorry if this is inappropriate and or solved and I just haven't found it. Well it seems as though I have the right version of DCS world installed,, below is the copy from Autoupdate.cfg from the games folder "version": "2.5.2.17559.377", "timestamp": "20180522-124622" However I am still getting the error message that the version is not available and the FA 18 wont install.. I have turned off all virus, malware and other protection and tried that to no avail.. Am I just being impatient or is there something else I am missing here? Advice or guidance would be appreciated. My system for clarity Windows 10 Professional 64 Bit ASUS X299 MBoard GTX1080 TI GPU 96Gb RAM
