    F-14 module is great, but what's with OP

    I was flying it, full load of ordinance, 4XAim54, 2X tanks and I'm not even in full military power and it accelerates to over M1.0 - supercruise! That's nonsense.

     

    I chased an AI F-14 with a full load of external stores in a clean Eagle, he just accelerated away... ridiculous.

     

    I shot an AI F-14 with 2X 120b, and an aim9M, and over 100 hits of 20mm (according to TacView) and he was still flying and turned and almost hit me with an aim 9!

     

    Aim 54 is active off the rail requiring no support, and reacquires after losing track when it appears to be way outside of the seeker view, or even through a mountain!

     

     

     

    I mean, I love this module, but come on...

    It seems to me that You are playing the "old" 14, before last patch... After that, they lower the engine power and raise the drag and this kind of performance aren't really easy achievable anymore... There's a full thread about this... Have You updated the game?

    Hi Phil, one question, when You release the bomb, where in the pipper the target must be?

    If I release the bomb with the target in the center of the pipper 9 times on 10 the bomb go short....

    There's a sweet spot? We must let the target disapper under the nose as in the 109?

    War is unfair...

    War is asymmetric

    War is War....

    How many conflict do You know that was perfectly balanced?

    Sure we need some historic opponent for I-16 (as for the other warbirds...) but as someone stated these opponent will be in every case more advanced...

    But this is a simulator and must simulate the real things...so even when they will bring some real historic opponent to the I-16 there will be some "gamer" players that will complain about balance....my 2 cents is...don't play it...use other "uberkiller" planes and have fun...

    For the others, the simmers that enjoy also unfair game but realistic...the I-16 (and the others) will be a viable solutions to simulate real war conflict and will enjoy it. :)

    Hi, could some one (if not break any rules or law) upload the pdf manual? I just bought the module but I'm at work now and until tonight I will not have the possibility to download it but having time to read it I will be able to enjoy it quicker....

    I-16 (Wonderful Addition) Question

    First and foremost, congratulations on this great Module, it truly is a welcome addition to the DCS World stage, and welcome yourselves.

     

    First off, will there be an axis equivalent to it's era in the future?

     

    Second, will you continue to create WWII Modules?

     

    If yes to question 2 Can you PLease, Please, Please Make an La-7, Heck even an La-5 would be just as wonderful! :smilewink: :pilotfly:

    Engine go down at high Altitude....

    Hi, firstly forgive my bad English....

    I need help cause I have this problem.

    A lot of time, when I clib over 20k feet to intercept enemy bomber my engine go down and I loose power, speed until I come down and die....

    Sometimes I manage to relight the engine but only a very low altitude and when it restart it run only for 5/10 seconds at maximun speed and then the propeller go stucked as when overething...but the temperature are pratically zero.

    Coming back...I fly regulary, 2800rpm. 8/10 manifold...compressor in auto mode...

    At 14k the compressor switch to high mode.

    If I continue to clib I start noticing that the coolant liquid temperature start dropping...under 60 so I try to raise up the rpm to 3k and the manifold to the maximum...the temperature stabilize a little...over 80 for the coolant.

    As soon as the engine start "buffeting" I switch the fuel boost pump...and it start to run again.

    But there....the problem...after some time that I flew like this...the temperature never rise...and when I come on fight with the bomber, if they try to break and loose quota, the slightest dive to follow them cause my temp to go to zero..and the engine....gone....

    What I'm doing wrong?

    I hope that I was at least undesrstandable.... :)

    I think it would benefit people who are often away from home with only a simple laptop and have free time to do some simple mission editing. Obviously not a replacement for the full thing as per reasons mentioned above but a very useful tool for me.

    After the great standalone server why not develop a standalone Mission Editor? For people like me that love doing full session of mission editing could be a great improvement editing for example during lunch time @work on my laptop or in the evening, on the sofa with the family watching the tv. There must be no need to have the game to test the missions, only editing. There are some times that the need to start the game pc only to edit a mission made me give up... Pls ED, there are already tools that made missions to test then ingame, I think that technically it will be simple to implement.

    Forgive my bad English, I hope that I made me understandable.

    No, la differenza sta proprio li, il colore nero è dato a spruzzo in seguito sulla base silver standard del profilato d'alluminio e quindi fa aumentare il prezzo (un pò troppo secondo me....).

    Al limite se hai un filo di dimestichezza e l'attrezzatura te lo puoi fare da solo in un secondo momento e risparmi parecchio.

    Basically don't roll and pull the the same time. That's when I have broken my wings.
    Exactly! I could pull 13.5 G without break anything, but I fly the cross, if I pull no stick roll, only rudder, if I need also to roll, ease the pull...

    I may do a short screen recording of making a basic livery if there is enough interest.

     

     

     

    The best way to get used to our layout is probably to just mess around. Create a subfolder inside the Liveries folder and play around with different colors and opacities.

    Do it!
