I also have try out a complete new fresh install. And what to say.. suprise suprise, nothing changed. Also dont worth try to fix with GPU drivers in my eyes, but i also have try it. 0 change. Again i come to result this is not a problem comming from our end. Waiting for ED to fix and optimize.

Yeah what is wrong with that? I am not saying anywhere to not optimize new hardware anymore! but you say "Yeah you are right. Let's all ignore any new hardware and ensure that DCS only ever runs on old hardware" ?????? again Ridiculous

Again only looking on client side "mistakes". So we should now do clean install after every game update? Before Update: "unclean" windows = 92 fps, after update same "unclean" windows = 67. I heavy doubt clean install bring any! But unclean windows is the problem... sure.... "since the 2.7 patch we have had overwhelming feedback about good performance. " From who? Youtubers with all high end rig? Tell the hardware from that people. Sounds like it will come more from people with "new" hardware. Ofc they will not see much impact. For me it sounds like optimization goes only for "newer" hardware and not for "older". This forcing people to buy also new hardware. But i understand that its more easy to optimize for good/new hardware. Also not so much time needed as it would be if optimize too for older stuff. Enough people have complained, so its clear to me that there was not enough optimization in process before update. Again not pointing all fingers to client side pls. I think nobody complained here before the update i read more like people was happy with the performance on there settings before. And guys, dont tell people again roll back the update or your GPU is the problem what i read mutiple times here. That is not the point and we start spinning in circles... AGAIN before it was just fine. Let we ED work on it to bring performance back, BUT DO IT pls and not only look on client side like lower settings.. thx

Exactly. Thats why it should be now on ED´s hand to bring performance back and not on our´s with try lower settings now. Even if its not noticable for all.. what i see enough ppl complained already about performance problem since 2.7. And as some guys told already it seems its not only comming from cloud. So there must be something wrong and actualy i dont care if its the clouds, lightning or whatever, -30% lower performance ist just too much after update! no discussion.

It is, and not even only about mutiplayer. singleplayer too.. Should people not update anymore from now on or what? What with new weapons system and so on? Sure its nice if the game looks better, maybe also more people will have interest now to play DCS and put money on it, but to play smooth need good computer. So this selling companys will also make more money. Win WIn for all i guess. And ofc people can upgrade PC but not all are "lucky" to have enough money to do so. Specialy like nowdays with prices... Now i waiting for comment like "If you dont have money, play some else" or something like that.... genius.. But thats not the point. It was running great for me, even with my "old" GTX 1060 + 6700k. I spent already money few weeks ago in 32gb RAM to be able to play DCS since long time again and all was good for me with mid-avarge settings 60+ mostly even on ground in multiplayer. Is it ED´s Problem that not all people have enough money to play with best Computers? No! But it would be nice if they optimize more before updating so people with lower regs can stil enjoy. Hope this will be optimized quick! Should be Priority over some money making projects! Ofc its a company who need to gain money and cant put all resources into it, but like someone said ~30% fps decrease is hard to take! Actualy dont want anger too much about it, but i was happy to fly again some more dcs and able to have smooth experience online. Even was on way to buy F16 soon, but not with this performance at the moment. But hey i am only 1 guy so they dont care i guess. Should be more people stop buy, so they re-think about prioritys. @unlikely_spiderWhat do you mean? I guess they will also have lower Performance now or what? If people are fine with like 40 frames or any under 60 +- OK.... but not all agree with that. For sure not me.

@Dannyvandelft I know that the ground is one of the biggest performance impacty but you dont see my problem. The 67 fps was on a Singleplayer test mission where it was before update ~92 fps on ground. When i had in my Test Mission 92 FPS before update, i had in Multiplayer like ~ 60 fps sometimes 50 fps on ground / low fly. Wich is the minimum i want to have! So when i have -25 fps on my test mission where i verify my performance, i guess i wil also have on Multiplayer now -25 fps after update. So it will drop like t ~35 fps or even lower sometimes. Wich is not acceptable for me. But i will test next days.. @Skins45 Maybe... but then people should wait maybe until VR is improved? They Pay lot money to be the "first" who can play this "new" technology even its not optimized. VR player in my eyes are all like beta testers for them . But if people like to pay and its worth them to have "bad" performance its ok.

I can confirm a LOT less Performance - loosing ~25 fps! In my Test Mission i use to verify Performance i just dropped on ground from 92 fps to 67 fps! Hope this will not stay! Not tested Multiplayer but i think it will be same or even more worse. So it´s a no-go for me! Guess i cant play anymore some time if the multiplayer servers go Beta. Dont even need this clouds to be honest. If it woul be same Performance ok, but this fps drop for clouds is too much!

Hi i have upgraded to 32gb RAM and a new SSD Samsung 870 Evo 1TB. I read that it can be better to put the Pagefile on other drive asyour System is. My System is currently on a Samsung SSD 750 Evo. DCS is now on the new 870 Evo. And i have also a free 120gb Samsung SSD 840 Evo. So where to but the Pagefile for best performance? The fastets SSD is the new 870Evo, but i am not sure if i should bring the Pagefile on the same drive as my DCS is running. I could also bring Pagefile on a free 840Evo, little slower, but its free from Software. Or just leave it on System? Other Question would be maybe as i have enough space now. Would it make sense to Have DCS on the same drive as the system? Because my new one is faster i could Install Windows on the new drive for little faster boot (but not necessary) + DCS, but i read that its better to have DCS not on the same drive as your system is. Is that true? greets

Hey, long time not played this game. I think back in the time i played last you could not play with friends together multiplayer if you not have same version. So i had to install 2.5 Stable and 2.5 Beta if i want to play with people who have one or the other. Also i think the servers in multiplayer was seperated. Now i could join with a friend on the same server while he played with the BETA and me with the STABLE. Is it normal like that now, or maybe the beta just have the same status like the stable at the moment or something like that? I not tested a lot but i had the feeling the stable was a little smoother but i can be wrong. I just would like to know if its worth to have both installed or if its not necessary anymore. Do you think it´s better to have the Beta installed or the stable? i though the Beta is more buggy and stuff like this, but now it seems all play just only the Beta anymore? Hey would like to connect here ,so i dont need open new topic I want to buy a Samsung SSD 870 Evo /=109€ or Samsung SSD 870 QVO / =85€ I read QVO slow down the write after some data as it has no 4bit QLC and no 3bit TLC as the EVO. I mean i could wait 2-5 min longer for an install or copy files or some. But just for Gaming, would i notice any difference here? Like loading times or maybe some more micro-stutter with the QVO or something like that?

Has anybody problems with manual waypoints? I was testing manual Waypoints and want to test it with bombs in AUTO mode on th Waypoint (AUTO-mode). I did this like in the video showing So when i tip the coordinates in the UFC it never match with that what he shows later on the DDI. I mean in the video also it not match to 100% but in my case the difference is bigger. So just for example when i put thees coordinates in UFC -> DDI (so left numbers i tip in UFC rightt numbers he show after that in DDI) Caucasus Map UFC - DDI N 44 57 31 -> 44 57 51 N 44 39 47 -> 44 39 78 This are just 2 examples u can test it with like all coordinates some of them have smaller difference some of them have bigger difference. Is it just not accurate or a bug? So let´s say i wanna set a tank on a runway of some airport and set a manual waypoint on this coordinates for a bomb (auto-mode) it will actualy not work cause when u fly to the waypoint it wil not match on the runway where the target is. i have the diamond and can auto bomb on the waypoint.. buut for what of the waypont is not on the right location? So again is this a bug or this works just not accurate?
