  1. This fixed my weird centre and cross eye problems ! (Controls , UI Layer , Recentre VR Headset). Just bound this to spacebar. (like MSFS). DCS still starts behind the start screen ( yes behind - on the backside with all writing reversed left to right...). One press of the spacebar puts me back in front of the start screen , a little zoomed out , and the second press of spacebar - just bloody perfect - funny how the eye remembers ! I do not need to run the cross eye tool ( I think it might have complicated things for me) so not going to fiddle further at this stage.
  2. Ok will play with the Default centre view although I sense there are two things going on - central start display and crossed eye display (both started together). Central Display : on entering VR the DCS startup screen is on a crazy angle ( sometimes backwards) and on first press of numpad 5 it does centre but it’s too zoomed out. On second press , it remains centred but zooms too far in. It zooms in so close it’s hard to tell if any cross eye is occurring. Crossed eye : when loading a flight , the cross eyes becomes apparent and remains when entering the aircraft and “zoom” appears normal. And if required recentre display works fine. I can see the cross eye tool saves the settings in “Oculus Rift CV1.LUA” as displayed in the calibration screen. I also noticed a “hedy.LUA” was also modified but not same time. Are you guys seeing this second file? Deletion of the first file allows for a recalibration of cross eye and I’ve tried this several times with and without the second file to no avail.
  3. Well after a few short few flights , I am now experiencing the crosseye/distortion effect for the very first time... Have tried swapping the vertical displays on both sides and saving but doesn't seem to help. When I press Numpad 5 to recentre the start screen in DCS it becomes very close , right in your face . Couple of steps forward today but this is a big step backwards... Wonder what others have adjusted in the cross eye alignment tool to get success ?
  4. I too finally have success ! My SteamVR errors/weirdness were fixed by reinstalling all VR related apps including Varjo Base, Steam itself and Steam VR. Then got identical experience as "wrycu" above by doing the OpenXR step. Looks smoother and also have a single cursor! Have left my ticket open with DCS support for both way sharing.
  5. Tried the definitive method of uninstalling steamVR and reinstalled , but have now picked up as new error... SteamVR seems to still run and I get the "Display Connection Trouble - Your graphics card cannot successfully connect to your HMD display. Try other ports on GPU etc" . Have tried all GPU ports , swapped with monitor etc.
  6. Supmua - let me first say thankyou for your time - very generous. When using "--force_steam_VR" , DCS starts in the normal 2D screen - that's what I meant by "breaks VR" . As soon as I remove the "--force_steam_VR" DCS runs in VR again. I do get the 4 screens as you describe so sounds like my system has reverted back to Varjo's OpenVR mode. OK , more learnings for me. I have little understanding on how to proceed but will focus on getting the forced SteamVR shortcut to work somehow. Might try reinstalling steamVR. (I do have OpenVR disabled in Varjo Base)
  7. Have run the cross eye correction but still have the double blue mouse cursors so useless for cockpit interaction. Was also a bit cheeky and went to Varjo support who , understandably redirected back to DCS support. I also rechecked and have to run steamVR manually as the step one --force_steam_VR in the exe shortcut still breaks VR for me. Oh well , waited 6 months for the headset , what's a few more weeks to set it up...will submit a ticket to DCS and report back any insights.
  8. I have no cross eye distortion with the image in VR, however do have double blue mouse cursors . Would you still suggest the cross eye correction step for this?
  9. Well moggel I have the opposite to you. Am getting the double mouse cursor problem (one bright , one dim with the active selection somewhere in between...) but good performance. I too have disabled OpenVR in Varjo Base. To further complicate, the "--force_steam_VR" broke VR completely in DCS so I reverted to manually run SteamVR which I've been doing for the couple of days that I've been setting up my new Aero. Have done quite a bit of searching on the double mouse cursors to no avail so far. I have i9-10900K @ 3.7GHz, 32Gb RAM , RTX3090
