i'm sure this has been done to death on here lol but WOW can u imagine the Eurofighter Typhoon on DCS........it would outsell every single aircraft to date on DCS no doubt.....i've read a few old posts saying that it would be too good and outclass everything else on DCS .....YUP JUST LIKE IN THE REAL WORLD A BAD ASS 4TH GEN KILLING MACHINE......from what i've read it even has the flying turkey F35 beaten hands down too with its awesome thrust to weight ratio and agility..... A few other posts mentioned the systems were classified and that would prevent development but come on its not that advanced .... the Captor-E radar is based on the AN/APG-65 radar and the other avionics aren't even 5th gen...... no doubt it would be a challenging project but i think its time DCS was brought into the modern era i think many younger pilots are put off DCS by all the old classic fighters that just don't do it for them........ i wonder how much the development of a project such as this would cost ? i've no doubt there would be many pre orders and players willing to support development

Loving the Harrier been training in her this last week but dammmmm she likes a wee drink lol fully loaded if i'm lucky i get about 30 mins flying max before reaching bingo fuel and thats with gentle throttle control....if i decide to do a bit of dogfighting or try to exceed 450knots ? better get that parachute ready of prepare for a ditching......just wondering if this is accurate as on paper the harrier should have a 300nm combat range.......especially as its supposed to be a close air support fighter you'd expect a wee bit longer loiter time

Once i updated my drivers and increased my page file size then moved the page file to an ssd drive not the system or ED ssd a spare one i have installed its eliminated nearly all of my previous stuttering and lag.........

Thx for the replies folks managed to figure out simple targets now by engaging them late and leading the missile....tried to go up against an F16 approaching head on....forget it lol......couldn't get a lock on till he was nearly in my face and by then it was too late as the aim 9's are infrared......started dogfighting no matter what i did i just couldn't shake him...couldn't out turn him no matter what i did either eventually was killed by his guns.... this was ai probably even harder with a real player...still great fun

Hi folks loving the harrier so far but geeez is it that bad at AA i start off on a test mission with 2 enemy B52's close to 10nm, turn on the seeker cool,master arm on,and the seeker radar by pressing shift+d,line up the enemy,solid lock engage at about 6 miles,pop off 2 AIM-9' sidewinders.....maintain target lock in hud........MISS.....more times than not....am i doing something wrong ? I mean i know the Harrier is primarily a AG fighter but surely it can manage a hit or two o s bumbling slow moving target lol

Wow thanks man,huge improvement just installed them now........should have checked the graphics drivers before going on a whinge lol sry ED..the micro stutters are still there but no where near as bad....only happens now and then as opposed to constant stutters like before....guess now its time to tweak the graphics setting see if i can't get some stick time this week lol

I've had a similar experience haven't played in a long time...purchased the harrier and persian gulf scenery then spent what seemed like days downloading updates only for it all to run like dog pooo....its sooo frustrating when you spend money on what should be a working product,and have little time to play let alone read a ton of patch notes god knows where on the forum....there was zero mention on the Persian gulf product pages that it was in beta or needed the beta to run.......personally you guys on here are way too forgiving....any other game people would be screaming........ Update sry ED for the rant and whinge.......just want to get flying lol i updated the graphics drivers thx to a reply on another post..... made a huge difference...still the odd stutter tho......

Just found out on another post you can't use the persian gulf scenery in 2.5 despite the product page mentioning ZERO about betas or 2.5.2......peeed off now wasted 50 dollars for an unusable product........

same problem here.....2.5.2 ? they should have stated that on the product page there is no mention of having to use the beta 2.5.2 it says 2.5......the beta is rubbish full of stutters and lag even on a top end system had i know this i would not have wasted my money of the persian gulf scenery at this point until its ready........every time i return to the game always seems to be a whole rigmarole to get up and running lol is there any release date on when we will get a stable version of the persian gulf scenery ?

Just purchased the harrier and persian gulf despite stating on the product page it requires 2.5 no mention of the beta required, the module is not showing up in the stable 2.5....i had to download the beta for it to show up and then its unplayable due to micro stutters on a killer machine,I7 8700K 32GB RAM,SSD.s AND AN nVIDIA 1080.....2.5 RUNS GREAT MAXED OUT.... Am i doing something wrong as to why the persian gulf isnt showing in 2,5 ?

Have to agree i've very peeeed off right now with this beta i just purchased the Harrier and the Persian Gulf modules and together they run like dog poo.....constant micro stutters rendering any serious flying impossible.......my 2.5 runs smooth as silk with the harrier in NTTR and Cauc on max settings.......is it just a combination of the harrier and persian gulf or this darn beta ?......my system is a killer I7-8700K,32GB RAM,ALL SSD's...Nvidia 1080 i cannot believe that my system isn't powerful enough as i can run 2.5 perfectly on max.......
