Eh, well you kind of did in a more eloquent way. What's interesting is during his part 3 (flight) he adjusts rudder trim several times.
-
If you would, check out what he does/says at 3:56.

Sounds like you have a lot more to learn if you think anything aviation is "boring":thumbup:
-
Ha that's crazy! I'm terrible at memorizing. Sounds like some tedious but rewarding work

Ok, so with that if we're going RL. Pilots would need to know how much an AIM-120 or Mk82's for example weigh so they can add that to their total weight? There's no simple readout that tells ya "hey, you're sitting at 35,000lbs" right now :)
-
Is it possible to view your aircraft weight while in cockpit? Some option under List maybe.. If not, is the rearm/refuel the only other option?
-
I don't get excited about too many things these days ha, but this model is awesome and one we can see so many people have been waiting for. I still can't believe we have an F16 already. That's insane, crazy work from you ED folks. Thank you, thank you!!

I believe the actual button used is TMS (Target Management System) So to lock using radar, hit TMS Up

Is it possible to switch these two screens and have the HSI on the top and the VDI on the bottom? I can't see the HSI very well because of the joystick and I didn't see a remove joystick option.

Wow, I've never heard of that issue even with the A10 mavs. I'll be following to see if anyone else has this issue.
-
Ok, I'll give that a go. Thank you!

Ok, will do. Thank you for the help

My first go around I did. Raised hook and then moved to Cat 1 to takeoff again but I sat there for a few minutes to see if it would pop up and I got nothing.
-
This is great practice. Thanks for putting it together. I'm able to load the mission just fine but I don't get any summary regardless of how long I stay on the Stennis or return to OHP

Sure, here you go dcs.log-20190108-225828.zip

What do you do first when the tomcat is available?
Q-Tip91 replied to Mking's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
I'll buy it...takeoff a few times and get just good enough to finally lock a target then crash and burn. Rinse and repeat just in time to buy the next awesome plane that comes out. *cough F-16 -
So this has happened the last few times I've been able to log on. I am in the Inferno server. I'm able to stay in-game for a while but then DCS crashes. This is what the log says. 2019-01-08 22:58:27.103 INFO EDCORE: # -------------- 20190108-225828 -------------- 2019-01-08 22:58:27.103 INFO EDCORE: D:\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\AsyncNet.dll 2019-01-08 22:58:27.105 INFO EDCORE: # C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at 7877901F 00:00000000 2019-01-08 22:58:27.108 INFO EDCORE: SymInit: Symbol-SearchPath: '.;D:\DCS World OpenBeta;D:\DCS World OpenBeta\bin;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\system32;SRV*C:\websymbols*http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols;', symOptions: 530, UserName: '' 2019-01-08 22:58:27.109 INFO EDCORE: OS-Version: 10.0.17134 () 0x300-0x1

Looked around a bit and couldn't really find a solution to this... HOTAS device not recognized and I'm not able to bind a HOTAS key to the program. I have Allow More Input Device ON as well as Radio switch acts as PTT. The closest thing I've found to a fix is to send the .lua file off and maybe someone could help...

Ah perfect! Thank you very much!

Hey Strike, I double checked that everything was in order..I guess the only thing I didn't do was make sure I was in the line of sight. If that's the case, does tacan become useless if the aircraft isn't pointed in the general area? Kinda makes that type of navigation pointless if that's the case eh?
-
So i was doing some training with Tacan today and noticed that when entering a new airfield code, the tacan wouldn't work, the bars would just spin on the HSI. Tried clearing everything, turning off tCN and re-entering and I'd still get the same result. Any ideas?

You're making the mistake of thinking that "smashing" the plane into the ground is a bad thing for the Hornet... That sounds awkward to repeat but you don't gently caress it onto the runway or flight deck. NOT what it's designed for!
