  1. Does anyone know if you can manually resize the FLOLS overlay? There must be a file that configures it somewhere in DCS?? For VR users it's a great addition however personally I think it is just too big and I would like to make it smaller.
  2. When night flying the F-18 Hornet, the DDI brightness of the Litening pod and AGM65 F display does not dim in proportion to the push-button text brightness on the DDIs. If I try to reduce the brightness of the image being displayed by the Litening Pod and AGM65 F on the DDI I am unable to read the push-button text. Can we have the camera image (from these weapons/pods) on the DDI get dimmer as well when we try to dim the DDI display? Other modes of Litening and Maverick still have problem with brightness of the lighter areas of DDI display Keep up the good work!! Openbeta 2.5.6: OS 64-bit Windows 10; DirectX11; CPU: Intel® Core i7-8700K CPU @3.70GHz RAM: 32 GB; Free hard disk space: 298 GB on Solid State Drive (SSD); Video card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080; Joystick; Logitech X56 Rhino.
  3. Hi all, Apologies if this issue should be specific to F-18 Hornet. It seems to be a GPS guided bomb problem including JDAM'S and JSOWS when attacking multiple targets with multiple GPS bombs in a single pass. When attempting a multiple target, single pass bombing run using the litening pod to designate targets and gps guided bombs (J-82) all bombs track last target. From TOO Mode, target can be designated ok using litening pod. Then switched to PP Mode to hand off coordinates, then when STEP is pressed, whilst in PP Mode, (to select next station) the MFD changes to TOO mode. Not sure if this is where the bug is (previous versions MFD would stay in PP Mode after STEP was pressed) Below is each step in the process. Youtube videos can verify this process as working in earlier versions PROCESS: Inbound with four J82's on four seperate stations. Select J82 and set Efuse to instant Select JDAM DISPLAY and then QTY (in this case STA2, STA7, STA3, STA then RTN Select TOO Mode and then MSN page Use the litening pod to designate first target then press TDC whilst in PTRK mode. Coordinates of target 1 appear in TOO Mode page, then Switch to PP Mode, then STEP to select next station. Designate target 2 with pod in PTRK mode and press TDC to designate New coordinates appear in TOO Mode page, Switch to PP Mode, then STEP to select next station. I do the same for the next two stations and wait to the 'IN RANGE' HUD que before releasing the four bombs... The bombs all track to the last target.
  4. Yes I think you have got it... It must be up to the host to set the parameters. Thanks for this!
  5. Yeah I have tried this. I have 'tooltips' turned off when in single player mode. In multiplayer mode the 'gameplay' tab is not visible, so cannot change it Not sure how anyone does a night mission with NVG active if these labels are always on. Very frustrating. Cheers Fisher
  6. Hi All, Does anyone know how to turn the instrument 'help' labels off in multiplayer? When the mouse or VR pointer is held over a switch or dial in the cockpit, a labels appears. Apart from being annoying in-game, the label blinds you if you are using night vision goggles. In the controls options page, there are only four 'label' options listed, none of these work on the instrument labels: Aircraft Labels LShift+F2, All Labels LShift+F10, Missile Labels LShift+F6 and Vehicle/Ship LShift+F9 Pushing these make no difference to the labels coming up in the cockpit during multiplayer. Surely there must be a way to turn these off when playing multiplayer!? Any help greatly appreciated!! Fish
  7. Thanks for the info...will definitely apply! Have to get some practice in, don't want to embarrass myself.
  8. ...forgot to ask when do you fly? cheers fish
  9. Hi Chokko, yeah hoping to find the same. I think this combat group might be the go!. I am looking for the realism of a mission, well as much as expected from me who is not a real pilot. I am new to multiplayer, so still a lot to learn in this area.
  10. Hi All, Are there any forums regarding why the swap from steam to standalone may be a good idea? I play DCS through steam because I use Oculus VR. I have a few modules (F18 Hornet, Spitfire, Normandy and Persian Gulf modules) in steam and a huey in standalone. Anyone know if I can use VR through the standalone version? cheers in advance Fish
  11. Hi all, I am seeking to join any Dcs F-18 squadrons in the multiplayer community that are flying from Australia. (to match time zones) I have about 250 hours in the Hornet, not an expert and a lot more to learn but I am proficient in carrier landing, in flight refueling and with most armaments I can hold my own. Anyone in the community here know of any that are recruiting? Thanks in advance. FISH
  12. Yeah I remember Lex talking about the extreme pitch up when leaving the deck post bolter. He was saying that this is not the case for the real hornet. I find it hard to believe that this much pitch up would be normal for a 25klb+ bird. But I am not a real pilot, so not sure. He suggested the dcs flight model might have to be be looked at.
  13. Hi All, Are there any Aussie online squadrons for multiplayer DCS 2.5? I am looking to join up with any for online missions etc. I know this is an old thread but hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I have about 250 hours in the Hornet, so not an expert but can hold my own. Cheers Fish
