Because it shouldn't be. The manual is accurate, the function being present in game is not.

That would be fine by me. One switch position more on my collective to bind to something else.
If this switch acted in reality like ingame I can easily see why Boeing got rid of that function in our Apache model. It's way to easy to mess up your boresighting in flight if you accidentally press that switch.

  2. On page 66 of the early access manual it say:
    Boresight/Polarity.
    •  PLRT. Toggles FLIR image polarity (black-hot or white-hot).
    •  B/S. No function.

But the B/S key actually resets the boresighting if the action Boresight/Polarity Switch - B/S is bound in the control options and pressed when in the cockpit. It acts like pressing Cursor Enter - Depress when in the acutal boresighting mode, but without the prequsite of being on the weapon page

  3. I've encountered a recent issues with the flight model yesterday.

We were doing some Helo training in Beslan and all of our KA-50 were experiencing rotor strikes well within the flight envelope.

I would fall out of the sky when turning only slightly left when flying 250 km/h at 500 meters. At the current air temp (10°C) I should have been able to maneuver up to 300 km/h (at least according to the plaque on the left side of the cockpit).

  4. Ganz ehrlich? Mit der Attitüde würde ich dich auch nicht in meiner Staffel haben wollen. Warum sollten wir Zeit investieren und mit dir zu trainieren, wenn du nach zwei Monaten wieder weg bist?

  5. Me neither.

I think, If you get a lock on the enemy, then it could be an easy Shkval-quided gunkill. However, if it's a maneuvering gone-wild Gazelle, then it could be tough nonetheless...

    We'll see...

From my experience in the tournaments, a lock doesn't do you any good for a gunkill, because the shkval doesn't calculate a leading firing solution (or at least not fast enough for aerial targets). But keeping the designate button pressed and moving the gun with your head is a godsend for leading shots.

  6. I can offer an educated guess. DCS isn't the only product of Eagle Dynamics, they also have the "professional" flight sim called "The Battle Simulator". And the website for the Battle Simulator states that they are developing a AH-64 Module. So most likely the DCS Apache project got moved to a DOD project for the the Battle Simulator. That being said, there might still be a chance that we get a Apache module, since the A-10C was also a recyling product from their Air Force product.
