  1. Would love to see the 280's in game. I could give the model I made to the Admiral, but it's sitting at over 500,000 polygons so it would require a lot of work to optimize, re-texture and code for the game. But if he is willing to do it, he can have it.
  2. I'm using max as well. I can of course upload obj, fbx as well. It's not so much the modelling I find difficult but getting all the correct texture and animation issues I find overwelming.
  3. Sadly I do not have enough time on hand to convert and animate this model. Large learning curve. I am willing to share my model if someone is capable and will to get it in game.
  4. The Issue I currently have is trying to get the polygon count lowered for the game engine.
  5. Haven't given up, currently working on lowering the polygon count as much as possible to be able to add as much detail into the model. That means alpha maps for the guard rails and masts. Making those look right is the tough part.
  6. So the UV mapping process is done...... That's tedious work to say the least. So painting has begone.
  7. So even thought the model was finished. It was originally very low polygon. Below 20,000. Pretty sure DCS can now handle a higher number so I'm taking advantage of this and adding a whole lot more detail, specially around the flight deck and hanger. This will be appreciated once your trying to land your Seaking or Cyclone helicopter on the deck!
  8. Going to get back on to them this week. Going to start with the Frigate first. Less work needed.
  9. More Detail The majority of my models are getting old so before importing them I am upgrading their looks. This will be taking advantage of PBR.

  11. NO, not dead, still have more work to do on the model. Will need help putting into the game once the model is complete though. No idea how to do that.
  12. Still at it The high poly model is pretty much done. I did a quick paint job and render to get an idea of what it looks like. Now is the tedious job of making alpha maps for the masts, guard rails and hand rails. Baking High to low normals....... lots still to do.
  13. Beautiful work. That is going to be a big job to bring down your polygon count though. Still great work.
  14. Superstructure Other side Still working on it when I get the chance. Just about finished the other side of the superstructure. A ton more detail to add to the antennas. BoneDust, I am starting with the largest and probably most desirable ship first. The Bonnie, after that, I will leave it up to who ever pipes up the loudest for the next ship. A large percentage of the ships I do have complete are of the High Polygon type. Which are too large for the game and require a lot of trimming down. It's do-able, just tedious work. Cheers

  16. Superstructure Well, finally moved onto the superstructure.

  18. Not done yet Have to keep looking for reference images, but I am about 90 percent done the hull.
  19. Could you post a few pictures for reference as to exactly what you are looking for?
  20. At this stage I am still just creating a high poly model. Of course with the use of Alpha channels for all the guard rails and normal maps will hopefully knock down a large chunk of the polys. Yes the use of LOD is going to greatly reduce poly counts as well.
  21. Well there are High poly models and Low poly models all in the one file, plus little to no optimizing done and it sits at 100K.

  24. Wow, I was shooting for 33K thinking that would be pushing it. Great news that. Now I don't have an excuse not to make her look good! :)
  25. Don't worry Crazyeddie, I'll have all those mast down when done(quite a few of them). Just easier to bake in that position to lower poly models. In this latest pics, you will see I have started to add the dreaded catwalks and drain tubes. Hopefully I will be able to retain as much detail as possible or it will have to be burned onto normal maps. Cheers
