I'm don't generally post here on the forums but I thought I'd take a moment to say thanks. I've been enjoying the SU-27 since 1995 when it was first released. I've had and still have every version from 1.0 through 2.5, Lock On, FC etc. in all that time the flight model hasn't conveyed the level of realism it now exhibits. Thanks for the work. I reinstalled windows 7 and everything is running, no more crashes. So it's definately a windows 8 issue and I really wouldn't expect ED to support it until the 26th when it's comercially available.

Unchecking the 'disable aero interface' didn't make a difference on my machine. I still get a crash in the same location.

Im on Windows 8 and that would require an unistall of the current runtime, which is needed by VS 2012 so that's not an option.

I have tried that already and at least for me, the crash still occurs. The only difference that I have noted is that I have a newer version of the C++ runtime than what was delivered with the installer, I have attached a screen shot with the versions. It could be related or not, but I thought I'd mention it.

Same issue here as well. When I exit a mission the summary loads to about 98% then crashes. The_GhostRiderCrashLogs.zip

I've been using the fast mission generator alot myself. It's actually a great training tool. No two missions ever appear to be the same and you can tweak any part of the mission, i.e. time, weather,loadouts and ai. I like it alot more than the single missions.
