  1. I hope you're on the mend Wags and feeling better soon.
  2. I understand Wags has been testing a pre-release version of the upcoming Thrustmaster F/A-18 joystick and am aware there appears to been an additional scroll wheel on the front. I've a few wish list items for any F/A-18 joystick from Thrustmaster or any other manufacturer that would be great for me (and perhaps others flying in VR). My wish list: - include additional buttons on the joystick shaft for left mouse click, right mouse click and a mouse scroll wheel (I currently map the Thrustmaster Warthog Target Management System Switch for this which is OK but isn't going to work if I want to fly the A10C in VR!) - include an additional button for the VR zoom (I currently use the Paddle Switch for this though that means I can no longer use it as a modifier). I suspect this is the purpose of the additional scroll wheel Thrustmaster have shown on the prototype model. Wags, is it possible to get an update on the development of the Thrustmaster F/A-18 joystick? It has been a good six months since there has been any news. Thanks Jelly
  3. I'm flying the F/A-18 in VR, love it. A wish list item for me is to have the mouse crosshairs only visible inside the cockpit, not when looking outside the cockpit. I have been able to get rid of my mouse by mapping the Target Management Switch on my Thrustmaster Warthog joystick to emulate the mouse clicks of left, right and scroll forward and backwards. I'm finding this is far more immersive than having to take my hand off the joystick and fumble around for the mouse. Instead the crosshairs are where I'm looking and it is an easy and intuitive click on the switch etc. The mouse crosshairs, a thick blue cross, stay on though most of the time even when looking outside of the cockpit. It is not a showstopper but does interfere with the view through the JHMCS and detracts from the overall experience. I can't think of any valid reason to have the mouse crosshairs visible when looking through the canopy/HUD and would be great not to have them there. ED is this something that can be addressed in the future? Or even better is there an option for doing this now? Thanks and keep up the great work. Jelly
  4. thanks! Sounds like a good idea. Cheers
  5. Fixed. I believe the issue was caused when the PC had a power outage during the login/authentication phase which corrupted something. I was able to find another post which referred to renaming the saved game folder as a fix. This worked. I then copied back the config\input that restored most of the bindings. Hope that helps if anyone else gets the same issue.
  6. Hiya all, am having a problem where when I go to login (both in VR and without) I get to the hangar but no menu. I tried running the dcs_updater.exe repair but that hasn't fixed it. Any ideas? I've attached a picture of the hangar sans the menu in case that helps. Ta
  7. Thanks joca123. Which switch do you map it to on the throttle?
  8. Thanks MRSHADO, sounds like a good approach, will give that a try. Much appreciated.
  9. I'm keen to know how others map their Warthog HOTAS for things like VR Zoom and eject. I was thinking of using button 4 on the joystick (the brake lever) for the VR zoom as I've now got a set of rudders with toe brakes. I'm also short on ideas for eject. Perhaps 3 clicks on the autopilot/engage disengage? If you've got the Warthog HOTAS and VR I'd love to hear how you have set if up. Any other tips too?
  10. Thanks MagzTV for showing how you did the first mission. Love to see some videos how others approach this mission too, along with the rest of the campaign.
  11. I'm a noob and still finding my feet, err wings, with DCS and the hornet but having a lot of fun doing so in VR. I would love to see some youtubes of how some others fly these missions and I'm sure I'd learn an awful lot from them. Any chance of some of you recording how you fly these and posting them up? Cheers
