Actually that makes a lot of sense, thanks for clarifying. Not really appropriate to start whining before the module has been released :D Having said that, I wish they’d finish the Harrier.

The A-10C Thunderbolt II is complete and I really enjoy it. I'm just getting into the Harrier and the bugs and incompleteness is disconcerting. I'm relatively new to DCS and it has been an education to discover that you pay out money for incomplete products that may not be finished for years, if at all. It has taken some getting used to. For example, I've pre-ordered the F-14A/B from Heatblur, but I won't actually use it for a long time to come. I spent the money so that the company knows that I support the product but, in all likelihood, I won't have a fully useable product for a while. I have the F/A-18C as well and have not flown it at all because I want to fly and learn the finished product. I don't think it's out of line for customers to ask the company from which they purchased a product to please finish that product in a timely manner. It is likely that I missed something in a long conversation but I don't understand the rant.

DCS World - Heatblur F-14 Tomcat - Early Access First Look
Phil73805 replied to Jabbers_'s topic in DCS: F-14A & B
It's responses (and members) like this that make me so very happy. I look forward to hearing your feedback after release :) -
As far as I know, there's no pilot model for the A10C.
-
Yes, I’ll have to do that. Though it’s noteworthy that I clicked the menu option for the sim to check/match my controls from the start, this doesn’t seem to work for FC3. Is this a report-worthy bug?
-
No and I have the same issue. Bug report time?

Hi all, in response to a lack of friendly fighters on Blue Flag and the slaughter that followed, I decided to bite the bullet and come up with profile for the F-15C for the Warthog and learn to fly it. While testing my profile, I started up an engine...which then jumped to afterburner until I moved the throttle at which point it seemed to remember that it was at idle not full. Any idea how I can correct that?

My only other concern is about frying my Warthog by plugging it in to something with too much power... What do you think of this?: https://smile.amazon.co.uk/Sabrent-Charging-Individual-Switches-HB-B7C3/dp/B0797NWDCB/ref=sr_1_19_sspa?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1544310707&sr=1-19-spons&keywords=powered+usb+3.0+hub&psc=1

Thank you all for the suggestions. I suspect you might be right regarding the motherboards ability to power all these devices. I am currently running the warthog, both throttle and stick as well as my rudder-pedals, my keyboard, my mouse, my speakers and my trackIR camera off the PC. Though the Warthog stick is connected at the front of the PC together with my TrackIR proclip. When this happened there was also a dozen browser windows open for reasons that weren’t clear to me but might have something to do with a conflict in key commands opening additional browser windows. I also had, Teamspeak 3, Voice Attack/Vaicom, Steam, Discord & SRS running simultaneously... Do I need to be concerned about the power output of a USB hub? If not do you have any recommendations?

Okay, my keyboard disconnected mid-flight...on final approach when I reached to press G for the landing gear! The Num Lock light was on but the keyboard would not respond to any input. I don't think it's the Warthog. What would stop my keyboard from working? When I was closing down software (VA, Vaicom, SRS etc.) at some point I heard a bong and then the keyboard started working again. Very weird. Any ideas?

Rudder pedals recommendation/advice
Phil73805 replied to Phil73805's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Will do. I have to say that so far I'm loving the pedals! They work brilliantly! I laugh in the face of crosswind landings and pour ice cubes down the vest of...other things. -
Hi all, bit of a weird one. I just received my Thrustmaster Warthog and CH Pro pedals and now when I switch on my PC my keyboard isn't recognised. So I unplug and replug the keyboard and then it works, mostly. The Z and X keys stopped registering in certain softwares when everything is running but work fine otherwise. Very weird. Has anyone encountered this before? p.s. is USB 3.0 actually an issue?

Rudder pedals recommendation/advice
Phil73805 replied to Phil73805's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I was seriously considering them but if I recall they are very wide, 53cm wide to be precise which is too big to fit under my desk. I think I'm going to go with the Thrustmaster TFRP for now. They aren't great but then again they aren't expensive and they are quite compact so space won't be an issue. Plus Thrustmaster has significantly better quality control than Saitek so at least I'll have somewhere to go if they break down. It isn't a perfect solution to my rudder needs but, for now, I don't think there is a perfect solution. -

I'm curious as to why so many people are recommending the Saitek Combat Pro Pedals when they aren't available any more? And I've looked, a lot. -
Rudder pedals recommendation/advice
Phil73805 replied to Phil73805's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
There really isn't any need for that sort of attitude. Toe brakes aren't more important than anything, they are simply a feature I would like on the product I want to buy. The Crosswinds and the Thrustmaster TMR are too big to fit in the footwell on my desk. So I have to look for something smaller. So cost isn't the real issue here. As it turns out, the Warthog may not work for me after all because my setup makes it rather cumbersome (the palm rest is 15cm up so my stick hand will be set very high on my desk which is very uncomfortable) so rudder pedals may also have to wait until I can figure out how to get it to work. -

Unfortunately, those Saitek's aren't available anymore. -

Thanks all for the recommendations. I should have added that toe brakes are part of the spec I would be looking for. Not to mention that the VKBs are rarely in stock. Tinkickef, I'm afraid I don't have any relatives in Yorkshire and it's a bit far to drive. I would be happy to pay for P&P if you don't mind the hassle? Either way, thank you for the offer! I know that this is a niche market so the range of options isn't great but there seems to be two categories: Cheap & Cheerful or Bloody Expensive and nothing in-between. -

Thanks ruskybeaver. Actually I don’t have the stick between my legs, it’s on the desk in front of me. Also, is the Saitek compatible with Thrustmaster stuff? -
Hi all, like the title says. I'm looking to buy some rudder pedals. I want to upgrade to the Warthog so I need a way to use the rudders. I don't want to spend more than £200 so the Crosswinds are out (anyway they're too big to fit under my desk even when narrowed). I've heard good and bad things about the Thrustmaster entry level pedals but the narrowness is a concern because I can be flying for hours and that apparently gets uncomfortable. I've looked at the Saitek but the reviews aren't great and I don't know whether they would be compatible with the Warthog or my current T16000m. In short, I'd be grateful for any input (no pun intended) from any of you that have experience with the pedals I've mentioned or have any other relevant experience or recommendations. Thanks :)
