Hello all,
I'm experiencing very low fps that's specific to the F4, as in, in a situation where I'm stable at around 80fps in the tomcat, the phantom does around 17fps, and drops even further down. In other situations it is slightly better, sometimes even reaching 60fps, however even in those situations the moment I start to look around fps drops to below 20fps. this seem to be worse on caucuses and worse when lower to the ground. This is happening also with the radar off or even when sitting in a cold dark cockpit. Again, same situation with the tomcat and I do just fine.
I have tried lowering my settings some, including my resolution, and haven't had much of an improvement.
I'm running a single monitor at 1920x1080. my rig is a ryzen3600xt\rtx2070super with 32gb ram. Dcs is installed in the C drive which is a 500gb m.2 with 75GB of free space. I'm on an up to date windows 10 22H2 with the latest nvidia game drivers. I will try to upload pictures of my graphics settings shortly. I have tried several missions in both Persian gulf and in caucuses, Persian gulf was slightly better. I'm also using opentrack alongside the game, but have made an effort to ensure nothing else is running that would be an issue.
I also tried to delete my fxo and metashaders folders and that seemed to be no help. I have just completed running a full repair of dcs and will be trying again, I'll grab screenshots of my settings while I'm at it.
This is obviously very frustrating as it makes the aircraft unplayable for me, but I understand that there can be issues in an early access release and I'm eager to provide as much data as I can to help solve this issue, I've seen some others complain of this on reddit aswell. Please advise on further steps to track down the issue.
Thanks!
Edit: attached a picture of my settings, note in the picture the fullscreen option is unchecked, this is only to allow me to take the picture, actual flying is done in full screen. Also note while lowering settings does help somewhat, checking six still means getting a major stuttering fit which if likened to a coughing fit would alarm even the heaviest of smokers. null
