I will start by prefacing that I have only been playing DCS for a couple months. I have been trying to practice engagements with the Aim-120 and Aim-7 missiles. I follow the tutorials by setting up the target size and cross section size. I have the Aim-120s in visual mode but no matter how close I have my F/A-18C nothing ever shows up on the attack radar for me to lock. I have it set on the right DDI like WAGS does in his video but noting ever pops up. Even when I am in visual range the only hits I can get with the AARRAMS is in mad dog mode. I tried using Sparrows instead with the same result. I am currently using the beta DCS version if that makes a difference. Can anyone help?

Training mission bug I have noticed this with the UH-1 training also. I have been trying to learn cold start up. The first time I tried the I opened and closed the cockpit doors repeatedly and the training would not move forward. The second time I tried the engine start buttons would not work including the home key. The third time I turned the radio on and off several times and the lesson would not move forward.

Transferring keybindings Hello, I have been playing the release version of DCS and would like to take advantage of some of cool new stuff in the beta version. Problem is I have spent hours getting my keybindings just the way I want them. Is there a way to transfer them straight across without having to manually rebind them? How long does it usually take for something to go from beta to release. I am itching to try the Mavericks in the F/A-18C!

Placing object Thanks for the info. I did this and it started me out alone on the carrier in the middle of the deck. Is there any way to move myself to a parking lot and spawn some static objects and maybe some AI planes taking off?

How to set up carrier cold start I am completely new to the game. I am trying to build a mission where it starts as a carrier cold start but simply cannot figure out how to even place my plane on the carrier. I zoom all the way into the carrier and it stays the blue marker even in satellite mode. Is there anyone that can tell me how to do that? Is there an online manual that can help me with that?
