    FREE Replacement Agile Spear Track IR5 Mount (Base)

    I wanted to take this opportunity to let you know that I've uploaded free TrackIR 5 Mount files for 3D printing. If you've ever lost the base for Track IR you'll know what I'm talking about. It's a small but necessary part for the TrackIR emitter unit which is easy to lose but hard to find.

    They want, I think, $25.00 USD for a replacement if you can find one. Well, I've designed one and uploaded it to DCS User Files and is free to a good home. It's my thanks to all of you who've taken a chance with Agile Spear:

    This got my attention only because I had a similar setup with an MP3 player hooked up to my headset Clarke box but I played a Pink Floyd mix instead on my last two deployments.

    Worked really well until I got a firm talking to by the AC after one flight. Apparently it would bleed through into the intercomm when any of the backseaters (me included) would key to talk. I thought I had it filtered but appraently not. Was very cool while it lasted.

Hydraulic pressure from the right side charges the emergency brake accumulator when the #2 (right) engine driven hydraulic pump pressurizes the right system. Under normal conditions the left hydraulic system provides all hydraulic pressure to operate the wheel brakes.

    The emergency brake handle is used in the event of the aircraft losing normal braking due to a loss of left side hydraulic pressure (i.e. left engine/hydraulic pump not operating, hydraulic leak, damage to the left system, etc...). If the emergency brake handle is pulled and the right hydraulic system is operational, the wheel brakes will use right hydraulic pressure and the pilot wil have unlimited wheel braking (but not nosewheel steering or anti-skid). With the emergency brake handle pulled and no right side hydraulics are available, the wheel brakes will use the pressure in the emergency accumulator which has enough pressure to give the pilot five full applications of the brakes. During normal operations the emergency brake handle should be pushed in. The only time it should be pulled out during normal ground ops is if the pilot had to start the right engine first for some reason, then you'd want the emergency brake handle pulled so you can use the brakes with right side hydraulics before the left engine and associated hydraulic pump is started... Short of wierd maintenance issues, I'm not sure why a pilot would start the right engine first. Normal procedures is engine #1 then #2.

    AI Red Air Defense Units Only Target Ground Forces

    I'm sure this has been covered but I just can't find it:

    Specifically, all red Air Defense units cannot (do not) target Allied air units under Advanced Actions / Triggered Actions > Perform Task > Attack Group. HOWEVER they can/do target ground units.

    Is it me - am I doing something wrong or is this a bug? I just can't believe this hasn't been discussed before now.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

     i love the campaign, I'm in mission 4 but there is NO GROUND SERVICE! So, for ammo,  i use the brief launcher configurator, but i scramble with all the heavy ammo !

    I'm not sure I understand. You're saying that Colt Flight and SEAD Flight are killing the enemy too quickly and ending the mission?

    Are you using DCS World stable or a Beta version?

    Combat King Simulations is proud to announce the updated Operation Agile Spear campaign for A-10 and A-10C II Tank Killer released in DCS World DCS 2.7.16.28157 this last August 4th, 2022 for single player.
    • Added 6 new voices characters for a total of 500 more lines of dialogue
    • A-10C II and A-10C loadouts modified to enhance mission parameters
    • Missions 3, 8, 10, 11, and 12 significantly changed
    • Updated Triggers and Conditions for most missions
    • Updated objectives and scoring for most missions
    • Added "Objectives Completed" radio message to all missions
    • Updated _ README FIRST_AGILE SPEAR Gameplay Settings

    Operation Agile Spear Updates

    A bit late on the release

    Hello Fellow A-10C Pilots,

    I hope everyone is well and have avoided Covid. I just wanted everyone to know that a large update to Agile Spear was released with the last DCS World (Stable) release. It solves most, if not all, the bugs people have been experiencing and will be available to everyone who purchased the original campaign.

    One caveat is that if you do install the new update it will reset any progress you made in the previous installation and you will have to start the campaign from the beginning. I have no control over this as this is the way DCS World updates.

    Mission 3

    Unfortunately, the AI SEAD typically aren't very good and generally can't be relied upon to provide any assist. However, the anti-air for this mission aren't very good either as long as you 1. maintain your altitude and 2. maintain your distance.

    The loadout for this mission gives you 4 AGM-65D, Mavericks, which give you a 10 mile standoff and also Hydra-70 M282's which are excellent short-range missiles which give you a 5 mile standoff. If used effectively, you'll never come close to getting shot down.

    AI don't respond to comms Mission 1

    I'm pretty sure I corrected this problem with not being able to communicate with Pig 2 and/or Kobuleti Tower.

    I'm pretty sure this been fixed as well (per the last update).

    Just waiting for ED to upload the corrected missions.

    Hello Fellow A-10 Pilots,

    I know that Mission 3 has created headaches for a number of people. I'm pretty sure I've fixed the problem(s) and I've decided to offer it gratis for download via Google Drive at:

    I've included the A-10C and A-10C II Tank Killer versions so everyone can fly it.

    Download one of the .miz files and place it in your \Users\Your_Name\Saved Games\DCS\Missions folder.

    Then, start DCS World, select Missions and then start the mission.

    PLEASE let me know if you have any problems with it.
