  1. Thanks for the replies, I think the problem was I created the profiles in the SST SD5 and now I'm trying to open them in the new SST SD6 and I dont think theyre compatible between software versions. Looks like I'll be creating the profiles from scratch again!
  2. Hi all, I've just installed my X52 pro again since formatting last month. I kept all the .dat and .pr0 profiles, however whenever I try to launch one now I get the following error: <filename>.dat does not contain a profile for this device. The device has not been profiled. Now, I would generally post this on the Saitek forums, but they have disabled forum registration and I cant find anything that gives me a troubleshooting suggestion. Since I have both .dat and .pr0 files for all my profiles, I dont understand why they wont load. The software/driver versions I have are: Driver: 5.7.0.24 SST Software: 4.3.4.17 Could it be due to a driver/software mismatch? I'm currently trying to download the lastest SST software, but its going at 10kb/s for 221 mb... If anyone has experienced this and found a solution, please let me know!! Cheers
  3. Hey, not sure if anyone has already posted about this, or even if anyone is interested, but; I decided to setup a voice command system, to be able to navigate the communications menu through voice inputs. Essentially it means, whilst in game, I use one of my HOTAS keys (or the MIC switch) to open the comms menu, then I give single number voice commands which correlate to one of the F-keys. You could also configure it in more depth so that instead of single number voice commands you could say "Flight" and that would press the F2-key and you could map it to the proper in-game commands. Too much effort for me!! It just means whilst flying you dont have to manually press the F-keys if your keyboard is in a awkward place whilst using HOTAS. Which I find a pain. The program which converts voice commands into keystrokes is: http://www.killerssoftware.com/ Other than that all you have to do is have a decent enough mic and setup Speech in Windows. Hope this is useful to someone!
  4. I really cant tell if this guy is taking the piss or not. I mean, how many times does he need to comment about "who started this thread" and "how much it has got everyone talking".
  5. One day, a ground attack plane with a 2 pilot crew would be the ultimate for multiplayer! F-111.
  6. Hey, just looking to see if anyone from Aus who have been playing BS for a little while now are interested in playing some co-op. Anyone with moderate skill, like myself, who wants to play some informal co-op missions to learn more about the game and have some fun let me know. I have ventrilo channels avaliable to use for comms. Looking for around 3-4 ppl to play with! my msn: kingy_68@hotmail.com
  7. I just bought the X52Pro, spent a few hours at least setting up my config/profile. everything so far seems fairly cruisy a good stick from what I have used thus far.
  8. currently I have a very old joystick, 6-7yrs old or so. its worn around the centre axis so i get alot of random movement in flight and struggle to hold the Ka-50 steady. the X52 is supposed to have alot of stability at the centre is it not? hopefully it should improve the random movements!
  9. Hey guys. I've got a Saitek X52 Pro coming next week, just wondering if anyone could post up some tips for me to go about getting it setup to work with BS. Not sure if just using it as-is will do or not? Also does anyone have a key profile setup for BS that could be used as a guide for setting my own up. Thanks for any help!
