1. Yes, you have to uninstall all your BS addons.
2. Try a new download and a new installation, maybe version you downloaded is corupted. @ trevcart : As my budy suggest, turn off your antivirus and try again the installation. For information : Before installing the last modman version uninstall all your BS addons.
3. Anyway, what we ask (root or exe), there will be always some people who choose the wrong way. It's the game my poor lucette (french easter egg). :smilewink:
4. Have you done any modification to you DCS folder, before the release of version 7.3, in the goal to use previous modman version ?
5. Not for that update. Maybe for the release of DCS A-10.
6. Here is the solution without any copy. I ran test on the last Modman version. So please upgrade to that version. My solution may work on 7.1 version, but i don't remember if we did change in the ini file between 7.1 and 7.2 version. But for a maximum compatibility between BS and FC2 addon, i invite you to update Modman. Before doing anything uninstall all your BS addon. It's very important, because we wil generate new references files. 1- Install Modman 7.2 2- Go in your modman installation folder. 3- Edit the modman.ini file 4- Go at the end of the file, and copy the following text : 5- Save the ini file and close it. 6- Run Modman, and Select DCS 1.0.2 at the end of the list. 7- Indicate the root directory. New catalogue files will be generate. A new addon folder will be generate. Copy your DCS Addon inside.
7. I finished downloading the last patch yesterday evening, so i will run tests this morning, and see with Skypat to provide a new version (maybe not today the new version).
8. May you confirm me that path change ? If the original path change to : Here is the way better than the exe copy. 1-Go in your modman installation folder. 2- Edit the modman.ini file 3- Find : 4- Change that line : to That change will works only if you run the last version of DCS, and if the launcher.exe file has been moved. I'll have to re-install DCS to check. The solution i provide is only based on what you wrotte, and what i understand. Check too if if the DCS.exe is still in the same folder as before.
9. Did you try uninstalling all addons ? You have a button in the Addon manager modul which can uninstall every addons you installed. For the Hot file restore, it works file by file.
10. Thanks h00t74.
11. Interresting thread Markriley. I didn't see it for BS. :)
12. If you installed the 6Dof mod, and doing change on the view.lua (which i undestand is provide with 6dof mod), it will be ok as soon you still have the 6Dof mod installed. But if you install mod wich provide view.lua files, then 6Dof Mod and changed you did will be no longer work.
13. It would be great to have it back in DCS. I remembered spend more than one hour to build a Farp for BS. It was awfull, change for just one point, launch the game, go back in editor change for another point, etc...
14. No, my exemple was only if you are using the hot file restore option. For a normal use, and always with the graphic.cfg using Mod without graphic.cfg in their package 1- install Mod 1 2- Install Mod 2 3- Install Mod 3 Every Mod add their own lines in the graphic.cfg, but if you uninstall any mod, others ones still work, because modman remove only lines added during the installation. So that why we recommend to not include graphic.cfg in addons. Exemple with Mod with graphic.cfg and no graphic.cfg file. 1- Install Mod 1 add graphic.cfg file 2- Install Mod2 with no graphic.cfg file in its package, but which add line in graphic.cfg In that configuration, Mod 1 and 2 works, because Mod 2 add line in the graphic.cfg which has been replace when you installed Mod 1. But for uninstalling Mod, you have to uninstall first Mod 2, then Mod 1. But if we install Mod like that : 1- Install Mod2 with no graphic.cfg file in its package, but which add line in graphic.cfg 2- Install Mod 1 add graphic.cfg file In that configuration Mod 1 don't work any more because line added during its installation will be over written by Mod 2 which add its own graphic file. For the lua file, i don't know if skypat could do something, i'll see with him. But Modman use several files from windows which optimise his work. So, i'm not sure, but, maybe, Skypat use notepad files for editing cfg file. And as you know, you can't edit lua files with notepad. So, maybe Skypat can find a way. Again, only him can answer. Happy Easter too.
15. I did a mod the head roll shakking and it works for me, but i replace the entire file. For the file date, it's like the graphic.cfg file. When you install a MOD which give modification in the file, the file date change. When you uninstall an addon, it's the same way. You remove what you add installing the MOD. So as you modify the file, the file date change. Try to install just on MOD which modify the graphic.cfg, uninstall it and the date from the graphic.cfg is modified, but its contents is still the same that when you install the game. If you want to retore the same date, you have to use the option in Modmanager. In option menu, Select the file you want to restore (grphic.cfg in my exemple), then press the button on the right. If you go in your game folder, you'll see that date file is the same that when you installed the game. But be carefull with that option. Be sure that you have no others addons which use the graphic.cfg file. Exemple with addon which use the graphic.cfg: 1- Install Mod 1 2- Install Mod 2 3- Install Mod 3 4- Restore original graphic file. So Mod 1,2 and 3 will no works any longer because lines added in the graphic.cfg file will no longer be present. So, i don't know if adding or modifying line in lua file could be possible. Only Skypat can answer that question. I'll talk with him for that point.
16. As Griffin said, if you use modman 7.1, just run the install over the past version.
17. Oh, i forgot to tell that I tried to place an object on the bridge, but we can't. Placing an object next to the bridge is not a solution for me, because the destruction of the bridge is the victory goal. So i don't want that the object is destroyed and the bridge will remain intact.
18. I would like to add a trigger when a bridge is destroyed, but i didn't find the way to do it, in the trigger option.
19. Je vais voir pour C6 Muse, mais je sais que Skypat n'est pas dispo ce soir. Au pire ce sera résolu demain. I'm going to check for C6 link, but Skypat is not availiable tonight. Anyway, it would be fix tomorow. Thx for your feedback BlackSharkAce, we had a look for the exhaust, and we have not seen what was wrong with them. I understand better with your screen. But i don't know if we can fix the exhaust, and canon problem.
20. Here is one. http://www.phoenix-fr.com/simulation/fc2/addon/ModMan_SimmodA10forFC2_Skypat_v11.zip
21. That change was introduce to avoid problem with several addons which will erase, the graphic.cfg needed. For exemple, if i have 2 mods to install which have their own graphic.cfg file 1- Install MOD 1 2- MOD 1 works fine. 3- Install MOD 2 4- MOD 2 works fine, but MOD 1 will not, its graphic.cfg has been removed by MOD 2 The graphic.cfg from the MOD 2 erased entries needed by the MOD1. That's why you must let Modman manage the graphic.cfg, and you had a message box on the graphic.cfg file when you install it.
22. No problemo BlackSharkAce.:) I will check what you said. For tracers, it was my first impression too, but i will have a look again.
23. You'll find your answer here : http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=51850 I made myself a Modman addon to avoid to forget how doing.
24. It depends only of user and modders. For information i used modmanager with Rainbow six : Ravenshield, Rfactor, wow, and some others.;) Modmanager is build like a manager for games, not a game in particular. There is special option for games such as lockon, DCS. But for common use, you have juste to add the right line in the ini file.
