Thanks guys this post was very usefull Fixed my f8 problems by changing my track ir default keys to something else. Weird thing though F8 was not actually used in my track ir profiles just F7 F9 and F12. but comms with ground crew is now working yaaaa.:pilotfly: -
Is there going to be a patch released for black shark in the near future.

Computer shuts down when ever I fly low to the ground
redtone replied to redtone's topic in Bugs and Problems
You were right. I have replaced the PSU and put the 9800 back in and have been playing BS for 6-8 hours without a single crash. This sim rocks when everything is working. Was worth the $150 I spent to fix my Problem so people keep trying its worth it in the end.:pilotfly::pilotfly: -
Computer shuts down when ever I fly low to the ground
redtone replied to redtone's topic in Bugs and Problems
Solution found Well it was the graphics card all along The MSI Nvidia GTX9800 was getting too hot running Black Shark and was causing a system shutdown. I put in an Gigabyte ATI 4650 and the game has been flawless. Apart from the reduced graphics. The system temp using the 9800 was up to 74 degrees while the cpu was around 40, with the 4650 system temp dosent get above 45 degrees. My question now to all you techo's out there is how do I run the 9800 and keep it cool. :joystick: -
Computer shuts down when ever I fly low to the ground
redtone replied to redtone's topic in Bugs and Problems
I have a shaw 730 watt psu with dual fans. I had a feel of the graphics card and it is quite hot to touch. I rearranged my cooling fans ( 4 of them + 2 on PSU) within the box so the card gets better airflow. Got latest graphics drivers installed and getting latest Win updates now. See how all this goes. The script file just comes up with an error saying line 7 char: 1 error: Not found code: 80041002 source: SWbemServicesEx Im thinking its a hardware prob due to the fact it has happened with xp as well (I have Dual boot on this System). Funny that its only with dcs. I had the Cpu and Memory loaded up at 100% for 3 hrs without a hitch. Well maybe a hot graphics card. See how we go. thanks for everyones help. -

Computer shuts down when ever I fly low to the ground
redtone replied to redtone's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hey bumfire How do you run the Script file. I have tried all the other fixes mentioned and nothing seems to stop the crashes, and they are occuring more often and not just when Im close to the ground. Im about ready to give up on DCS now if this dosn't fix it.:( -

Does this mean anything to anyone This is from my event viewer. Computer shuts down when ever I fly low to the ground
redtone replied to redtone's topic in Bugs and Problems
Thanks for all the suggestions. am trying them all out. I uped the bios cpu temp monitor alarms and am doing memory and cpu load tests. Funny thing was when i was videoing the screen to catch a crash it was faultless. It crashed when i was playing back the track file of the mission I just completed. Weird! Also disabling reboot on error did not work. Any way still testing and am trying same computer but with win XP. -

Computer shuts down when ever I fly low to the ground
redtone replied to redtone's topic in Bugs and Problems
OK I have turned off system restart. booted up the game and selected quickstart. Proceeded straight to the deck put my gear down, bounced the nose wheel a little on the ground, pulled up a little and attempted to land but before I could land the computer turned itself off and restarted. no BSOD no log NO IDEA. as I said in the first post it Dosen't matter what detail level I have running it just always crashes to restart. What good is an attack helicopter sim if I cant fly close to the ground. Might have to try it on XP.:( Also computer was just started up for the day running maybe 6-10 mins . And system has never done this before and I have played Crysis, Call of duty World at war etc no probs -
Computer shuts down when ever I fly within 10-50 feet off the ground. Have tried reducing all options to min. but problem still occurs. Dosent matter what mission im in either, have tried instant action, campaigns and single missions and whenever i get close to the ground the computer just switches off and restarts. The only exception is when landing on a runway. No error reports are generated due to the shutdown. Any help greatly appreciared.
