Things are finally up and running and I'm sort of happy with it. Getting steady high 70s to 80s fps even on almost everything maxed just to test. but the cockpit (A-10C) seems really dark at that high settings. These are my settings Maybe someone has suggestion on setting to brighten it up a bit without losing too much texture quality? I know I just set this all up but I've decided to change my monitors. With three monitor main screen set up, my 37.5" ultrawide is just too wide for a room only 5' wide. The angle of my side monitors is just not right and since it's 21:9 (3840x1600) and the two side monitors are 27" Flat 1920x1080s, it's just not good enough. So I have two 27" and one 37.5 ultrawide for sale  Three 31" curved monitors are even slightly large then this setup, so that leaves me with three 27" curved monitors. I was thinking of going with this Three Acer XZ271U 27" Curved 1440p 144Hz 1ms Gaming Monitors They are in my cart and my fingers on the trigger. Unless anyone has any other ideas?

Made the mistake of not saving files outside of dcs
CBoB replied to CBoB's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Ya I tried doing a search and I found them )) -
I just spent last few days setting up my simpit and mapping all my keystrokes and HOTAS for all my aircraft. Saved all the profiles to dcs default location. Then yesterday installed the dcs update and lost ALL saved profiles. :( Everything reset to default settings and all saved profiles gone.

This collective would be much easier to mount to your chair but it's almost $900  http://www.maxflightstick.com/store/image/cache/data/2018/Individual/Collective/A350/A350%20Collective%201-500x500.jpg

You could also add a tensioner such as this to the side of your chair so as you raise the arm near the end of the travel it adds tension to the arm so as it clicks into place it holds tension on the arm to eliminate any slop or unwanted movement when it is latched. I hope what I'm saying makes sense, I can see it clearly in my mind. lol

There are already two holes in the mounting arm one can easily be used as a hinge, the other can be used for the latching mechanism. Maybe you could use something like this type of pin latch to secure it.

What if you just used this portion of the collective and mounted it to your chair so that it can swing up and back out of the way then you can fold up your throttle when you need it. That's how I'd do it.

Final few more things and it will be ready. Finally got and installed the other two touch screens, backup PS, key pad by the throttle and sound system. Tomorrow the computer goes in and finish up the wiring.

Mounted the mouse pad so it can be slid out of the way. Going to be using Helios so hoping to do away with most of the mouse clicking, but there will always be a need to have one handy.

I really don't know. I've never had a system quite like this before , so I guess I will find out. I've had two monitors before in crossfire, but that was a long time ago and this one is a totally different Beast

Mine is exactly the same way. The problem is poorly designed spring seat. Tolerances are far to large between the spring seat and the center shaft. For the price these things cost, poor design like this should never happen. It's not Rocket science. This is a little video of the movement in the seat. I'm going to try something to fix it.

I don't think I'll be disappointed, I've had DCS for a few years now but my old computer died a couple years ago and it has been unplayable on my current system so just being able to play it again on my new computer will be worth any result. It's been about 12 years since I build a new gaming system so I figured I better 'buck up' now and maybe it'll last me a few years. I'm sure it will take a lot of tweaking to get it running right.

It's an Acer 37.5" with 2 Acer 27" monitors on sides

I won't be running in SLI, three main monitors will be in surround on one card and the other three or four will be extensions on the second card. Nvidia told me if I use SLI I can only have three monitors in surround with one extension

A lot I hope... dual GTX2080s , AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X , 128GB RAM But I guess I'll find out WHEN I get my adapter plate from Corsair and I can start it up.

Almost everything is finally here, just waiting on a couple more monitors. Now I am starting to put it together. New computer almost ready, just waiting for water block adapter plate.

Helios Control Center stopped working.. tried repair, didn't fix it... tried reinstall, didn't help. This happening to anyone else or just my luck? Any idea? ))
