I just came back to the sim world after "grounded" for a few years and am thinking of buying a new flight stick. I used to have a T16000 but I don't have it with me since I moved. I am using the xbox controller recently as an interim before saving enough money for a new stick. To my surprise, the xbox controller performs better than I thought after mirrorring the setting of Tuuvas. But I still want to buy a flight stick for better realistic and immersive. The sticks I am interested in right now are VKB NXT and Winwing Ursa Minor, they are not too expensive and have a lot of buttons, furthermore, if combined with some modifier keys, there would be even more buttons.
My question is if I buy a stick like Winwing Ursa Minor or VKB NXT, do I still want a throttle in the near future? I am mostly playing F18 right now, but I am also considering buying F16 and try falcon bms as well. If you moved from "one stick" to "HOTAS", what did you feel? Any huge improvements? Or if you are using "one stick" for years, let me know your feeling as well.
Last but not least, any thoughts or recommendations on these two products? AFAIK VKB has better quality, but the throttle on it seems smaller. WW has slightly more buttons and only half the price here in Europe. I am really flip-flopping between them.
