  1. I think that will work for what we need. Thanks!
  2. Valid points. A buddy of mine is a little rusty on basic flight maneuvering so I was seeing if there was a way to give him a reference of what we were about to do ahead of time. Once he is a little more proficient I think visually will be easier overall.
  3. Is there a way to see the specific bank angle in degrees in the F-15? Like, if my buddy and I are trying to turn together and stay close, I'd rather say I'm going to make a left turn at 35* bank so he can match it. But I can't seem to find that data displayed anywhere. The HUD doesn't list anything that I can see and "eyeballing" it doesn't work very well. Thoughts?
  4. Confirmed as well. This bug sucks when trying to practice with mixed load outs.
  5. Thanks for your input, Ian. I wish I would have known earlier and I could have saved the logs to show the issues I was having. I was using 1.5 with your mod file, but without the logs I know the feedback is moot. I'll be sure to post here in the future.
  6. Definitely will do for the future. I wish I had known about this site earlier. Thanks.
  7. Speaking of random crashes, I learned a couple days ago you have to actually tell your wingman (at least in the Georgian War campaign) to RTB or he'll just follow you off your wing for landing and crash into the field next to the runway lol. This game cracks me up sometimes.
  8. I know I didn't meet the mission success requirements for them. The problem was, I did everything I was supposed to do for the scenario and the mission would still fail. The majority of my issues came from SEAD/strike pushes at the wrong time, or SEAD just getting obliterated by SAMS. They weren't very good at SEAD I guess lol. The 1500 MSL waypoint issue really threw me for a loop, and it took me awhile to figure out why my strike package died. I watched the replay and finally figured out they just casually cruised into the earth. Another mission, AWACS got shot down before I could even get airborne. That one may have been part of the scenario though, as I was still able to complete it successfully with no BRAA calls. I did try everything possible though to prevent it without using ME, including super light weight to get there ASAP after airborne, and taxiing while the second engine was still starting up lol. But I still couldn't get there in time and the escort guys ultimately failed. I ended up just completing it anyway, but given the rest of the random issues I had I figured that was another bug/mistake. Other missions I would get mission success before I even made it to the designated waypoint or engaged anyone. It was all over the place.
  9. I was using 1.5 with Ian's updated files. Still didn't work. I originally tried 2.5 (before I knew about Ian's files) and switched to 1.5 because doing so allowed me to complete one of the earlier missions. That was before I knew anything about ME, but I spent so much time googling how to complete the missions I learned about this site, those updated files, and how to use ME at least for some basics. After I learned about that, I stayed on 1.5, downloaded the files, and kept going through the missions. Maybe it's better if you start in 2.5 with the files, but at the time I wasn't aware of any of that, and eventually I made it to 1.5 with files installed, still wayyy too much time spent editing instead of flying. But as I said, my hope was just to prevent someone from having the same headaches I did and bypass the campaign altogether, and do Georgian War instead.
  10. Lol. I didn't realize it was that old of a thread honestly, I was only viewing the first page or two. Either way, my point in posting was to try to help someone avoid the same headaches I experienced. Bear Trap left a bad taste in my mouth after constantly having to use ME to figure out what was wrong and how to fix it so I could actually pass the mission. Redoing waypoints, takeoff times, altitudes...it was just a headache. I understand having some bugs but Bear Trap for me was unplayable because of them...at least if left in its original design. The campaign was unbeatable without spending considerable time with trial and error in ME.
  11. As the other comment said, you just have to use NAV and cycle the waypoints with CTRL + ~ or LShft + ~. However, if you're having issues this early in the campaign you're in for a world of hurt with the rest of the campaign, as it's full of bugs and problems throughout that require mission editor to fix. My recommendation (as I said in the other Bear Trap post) is to forget it and play the Georgian War campaign instead. $9.99 for better missions and no crazy bugs.
  12. As I played through the Bear Trap campaign, I encountered FREQUENT issues even when I had installed one of the user files (forget his name right now) to fix them. I still had to use mission editor constantly to fix things like auto-pushing, SEAD dying by SAMs, strike pushing too early, strike literally cruising into the ground because a waypoint had 1500 MSL (they just flew into the ground)...TONS of issues throughout this campaign that required mission editor to even complete them. Yet, most of the flights aren't even in depth and are something like "fly to WP4 and CAP until a bad guy shows up". Here's my recommendation: screw that entire campaign...it sucked the life out of me constantly having to fix the missions just to complete the campaign. Buy the Georgian War campaign. I've played like 3-4 missions out of it so far and it is light-years ahead of Bear Trap. Much more fulfilling missions, no bugs. All good so far.
