  1. I tried to get an aj37 ai unit to shoot an rb-15 by equipping it with only a rb15 and telling it to attack a naval unit, but it doe sent work. The ai just flicks it off and runs.

  3. Well anyway, I just edited the default livery and added numbers using gimp.
  4. I use the f18c default livery and normally the number is shown on the jet, under the canopy but recently it no longer shows it, wondering why?
  5. Anyone notice if 1440p looks better than 1080p for cinematic recording? I would think some of the clunky models, like in the terran, would look better in lower res. Also, if I'm using a 5600x, would 1440p recording be too demanding on it? It's paired with a gtx 1070, but I could upgrade that to a 3060 ti soon.
  6. SUCCESS for CAS + Attack Group or Unit The gazelle with minigun doesent shoot really, but the Huey with mini gun does a BEAUTIFULL JOB of spraying fire on them.
  7. Hey I'm trying to get any helicopter to fire its canon/minigun at a ground target, but none of them ever do it. I'm trying PerformTask>AttackMapObject but they all keep returning to base. FYI: I dont own any helicopter modules.
  8. Im looking for a good explosion animation in this game. The A-10 has a pretty decent animation on the bomb it uses for ground targets, and the machine gun hitting ground targets looks pretty cool too. Can anyone suggest a bomb/missile from any airship that has a beautiful explosion?
  9. Hey, can we reduce freecam speed lower than 7nt? Thats the minimum I hit. Currently I slow timespeed to acheive this but it also slows unit action.
  10. Is there an easy way I can add a body movement to one of the infantry units included in dcs? Its one of the infantry models that doesnt move when stationary, some models have movement when stationary already. I want to just have the guy lift his hand up to his ear, and then back down. What program do I need to edit this file in this way.
  11. This worked well. Changing the value from 150.0 to 50.0 and my gpu usage went from ~95% to ~65% So I raised it back up to 100.0, now gpu load is ~80%
  12. Interesting what you did. Someone mentioned to me that the jet isn't finding the helicopter, so add more way points so it keeps searching. I ended up trying something else, I stuck to one waypoint; SearchEngageUnit, but I copied that jet so there is 5 of them. That worked; helicopter was downed, so good enough for me.
  13. Im trying to make an AI Su-27 shoot down a AI Huey helicopter. I got two problems. The jet wont shoot the helicopter, I tried PerformTaskEnroute>SearchandDestroyInZonebut it just passes it by, it also doesn't work when I PerformTaskEnroute>SearchandDestroyUnit. It just passes it by and goes to airport and lands, wtf. Is there a simple way to do this?
  14. I tried low settings no stutters. I did more testing and beleive preload raduis and visibility is the culprit. Does this require a new gpu with more vram? IM on the fence, I can turn those down for recording most shots.

I noticed there are minor stutters when I make a little single player mission with a few tanks and soldiers on the Caucasus map. i7-4790 16gb ram 3gb 1060 500gb SSD Nothing is getting maxed out. -CPU and RAM are underused. -GPU is always around 90% -GPU dedicated memory hovers around 2.8gb/3gb -GPU shared memory is about 1.5gb/8gb Maybe some small occasional stutters are just apart of the game.
