IMO, leave them un-tuned and symmetrical.  Yes, maybe it's hard initially, but you'll figure out how to tame it quickly.  And once you have tamed it, you have symmetrical controls which likely makes things easier down the road.  But that's just my opinion.

If you want to mess with it, in SP you can go in and out of the bindings and play with it at will, and that's likely best way to tweak it.  Try to only tweak one axis at a time so you can see what it does.  I would start by adding a little curvature to flatten the centre of the response.  Then increase if you still don't like it.  Again personal opinion, but I would avoid deadzone if at all possible as that tends to make things jerky.

To tame things down while AARing, try gripping your stick close to the base. That will tend to dampen your movements for while you're doing that while still giving you full responsiveness the rest of the time.

In the Special menu, turn both to on and set the dead zones in that menu to Zero. Then in Axis tunings play around with a small dead zone for pitch and roll.

    Thank you

  2. Hello all, I have the Legend MIP with all three MFD's.  When flying the F16 I can raise the brightness on the left and right MFD'S with the brightness control, but for the HSI in night mission the display is dark. Do you have to set display brightness manually in SimApp Pro?

  3. Sorry I don't know what happen, I thought I was in the WinWing forum.

Dos Thank you very much.  A lot of information.  I am just using the regular F16 stick.  "

Is this just for the force sensing.?

  5. Hello all, I am looking for advice and suggestion for programming my Hotas for FA-18. First, let me give some background. I first purchased the Winwing Viper MIP and the WINWING Orion2 HOTAS ViperAce setup for F16 and program all the controls in DCS.  A few weeks ago I completed my setup bye adding another MFD and purchasing NavyAce UFC&HUD and the WINWING Orion2  StrikeAce EX Throttle Combo for FA-18 and F15. So basically I have Legend MIP with two throttles.  Now I need to program controls for the FA-18.  My question is in SimApp Pro you can download other creators Key Bindings, which some of them that I liked but were missing some control that I would like to add.  My question is if I use one of the profiles and add my  in DCS will it save the controls in DCS or will the Key Binding in SimApp pro override them or remove them?  Or is there away I use one of the profiles input my addons in DCS and save it as my personal profile Key Bindings?  I hope my questions make sense.

  6. I am trying to understand SimApp pro setup.  I know DCS support 128 button mode but I also fly BMS.  My question is if I understand correctly is I would have to set up SimApp Pro to 4X32 to setup my controls for BMS or any other sims, and then switch back to 128 button mode for DCS?  Is that correct.

Your GPU and RAM will be the bottlenecks. But I would not upgrade the 4070 yet, unless you are already considering it. You can get some good results using Quad Views Foveated Rendering.

    For a 4070 I think the 5800x3d is enough.

Another option is a Quest Pro. The eye tracking makes a massive difference.

Quest Pro at $900 is a little out of my budget. What is 5800x3d?

Your system should run a Q3 fine but you might benefit from 64Gb RAM. I have recently upgraded from a 5800x3d and 4070. You will need to compromise on settings but it's still a good experience. There is a lot of experience now on this forum to support anyone new to VR.

Thank you.  You mention I may need to compromise on the settings, which component is the more the bottleneck, the CPU, Graphics card or both?

  9. Hello all, I am new to this and just joint a squad and one of the pilots suggested I should switch to VR because I was having trouble seeing small objects on the ground trucks tanks etc.  I have some questions. How do you do microphone and hear other pilots in multiplayer? I was thinking of purchasing the Meta Quest 3.  Will my computer be ok to handle a VR setup.  I am also using the WinWing MIP and ICP in my setup now. Any recommendations or suggestions? Computer specs below.

  10. Hello all, I am new to the Winwing equipment and have received a lot of help from others here. I am still a rookie flying the F16, and the Joystick felt light to me, so I ordered the CAM spring kit. I changed out the CAM so it would have less center play but made the joystick feel stiffer. This is okay, but now I am working on my air-to-air refueling, and the stiffer feel may not be a good idea.
I would like to hear from others about the stick's play. Do you like it? If you didn't make any changes did you adjust the curve sensitivity a lot in A settings? Did you change out the CAMS, springs, or both?
