  1. The BS2 patch won't install for me either, it complains with the same message: DCS Black Shark must be installed. It is installed. Nice...well, not really. I purchased all my DCS titles directly from DCS so it's not a Steam issue. Hopefully a fix is released soon but until then, it's back to BF3.
  2. This thread sounds like an infomercial for the TM Warthog. :D My experience with the X65F has been nothing but positive. In fact, I wouldn't go back to a regular stick if it was autographed by Chuck Yeager himself. The only thing that feels "plasticky gimmicky" about it is the plasticky gimmicky panels in front of the throttle, the rest is pure awesomeness.
  3. I can reproduce the issue at will, or at least I could until v1108. It's pretty simple if you have two or more monitors: * Max out all texture related graphics settings. * Ensure A10C is set to desktop mode (not full screen), max resolution. * Start a mission. * Set auto pilot. * Run Windows media player, play a clip. * Repeat above if necessary. The above steps are just a way to reproduce it quickly, I don't normally run media player or anything else in the background during normal play; in which case the problem is intermittent. The idea is to run apps that consume video memory. Also, I have two monitors active but only one is used for A10C, I am not displaying MFD's or anything like that on the second monitor. I've only spent about a half-hour on v1108 so far, so I'll know in a day or two if the problem is still there.
  4. V1.1.0.8 From the release notes: User Interface --- SNIP -- - Cockpit panel texture resolution no longer affected by global texture resolution setting in Options. --- SNIP -- Does this have anything to do with the disappearing cockpit labels?
  5. *cough*...I think I am feeling *cough*...sick...*cough*...might have to leave work...*cough* *cough*...early today. :smilewink:
  6. As long as I can loot what I kill it's all good. :) Since they're building a flight sim based MMO, I would expect that it will be designed to appeal to the masses meaning arcade style flight model, avionics, and weapons systems.
  7. I hadn't thought of this. Although it doesn't affect me because I bought KA50 and A10C direct from ED, it's good info to pass along when the need arises.

  9. I agree, setting the price too high might scare off potential [future] customers. It would scare me off if I was new to the genre and unsure about spending that kind of money on something I knew nothing about. As for setting a up a donation system, ED could sell mods like 777 is doing with RoF. The upcoming Nevada map update could be an indication that's what they plan on doing because it won't be free. A lot of companies seem to be leaning towards this model though. I have RoF but don't really care for it, at least not at the moment. Admittedly I purchased it on a whim thinking I could relive my Red Baron 3D days, which I could, but A10C has me sucked in hook line and sinker right now and nothing else interests me.
  10. I already have a Sandy Bridge but if the Z68 is all that's it's cracked up to be than I would consider it a worthy upgrade. I am not so sure about running more than one MFS screen using the on-die GPU though. I mean, how would you connect more than one? CGA graphics, now that brings back some memories
  11. I am not familiar enough with the ivibe TFS but I wonder if it could be made compatible with A10C via LUA scripting?
  12. I am not using this yet, but it looks promising. http://www.thebuttkicker.com/gaming/index.htm You shouldn't have any trouble feeling a SAM impact with one of these bad boys.
  13. As sophisticated as A10 is I am amazed at how good it is at the current patch level. Looking forward to 1108.
  14. I think what crunch was trying to say is that it's possible to map a joystick control to more than one function in the game and that could be the problem.
  15. I wouldn't hold my breath on a sale anytime soon. $60 is becoming the norm for new titles these days and A10C was just released. I remember paying $50 for Wasteland back in 1988, the first PC game I ever bought. That price point stuck around for about 20-years amazingly enough. A10C is worth every penny, I can't say the same for the majority of games these days.
