  1. ...my experience with tracks, without multiplayer: If I use the HORNET, I have no problem to replay rating flights and carrier landings. Me and several AI flights (Tanker, Hawkeye, two companions accompanying me). 4 bolters without hook and cable hitch on the fifth pass. No problem. I can play from any view: F1, F2, F3, F4 as the carrier's own. But as soon as I try to make a flight taking off from the carrier after aptoning, the track will fail. I don't know why, taking off from the steam caltapult breaks the track.... I also made a 20 minutes NOE flight in Caucasus to show the VR to my friends and it was always reproduced without problems, takeoff and landing from airfield... With TOMCAT it is impossible, I have never been able to reproduce an carrier landing!!!! Can you guys try and contrast? Greetings Apologies for the language, my mother tongue is that of Cervantes instead of Shakespeare.... Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)
  2. ...with the cockpit open you can see them, although you have to lean out a little (like the little girl in the exorcist, ha, ha?!) From inside it's more complicated but you can see them, leaning forward and turning your head a lot...although here it helps a little that the landing gear is at its maximum extension because when flying it doesn't carry the weight of the plane. I use VR, maybe with IR track it is not noticeable. But I see that I am very rare?! it's not that I'm looking for the failure, just one day I noticed it. PS I put a link to my drive to see the screenshots: Right wheel on the ground No left wheel on the ground with the plane in flight
  3. Hello everyone, The left main lander wheel is invisible from the cockpit. The right one I can see, but not the other one. I know it's a small bug and I also don't know if it has been reported before. Just in case I report it here.... Greetings,
  4. ...I just flew for almost an hour straight and the problem did not recur. I just didn't have MSI Afterburnner or fpsVR monitoring during the session. It was not a single flight but I have chained four flights, the first in the TOMCAT pointing at CVN-73 in the vicinity of Batumi, with NOE flights in the valleys in the vicinity: half an hour in a row. Then I switched to the HORNET and I dispatched "Maverick and Goose" and their brand new F-14D in a couple of dogfights and everything was still fine: smooth and even reached 90 without reprojection when I reached a certain altitude. This was impossible on a second flight without exiting and re-entering DCS. So it seems that we are narrowing down the problem, and that it is related to the mini-monitoring, something I already knew but with RIFT S it was not so noticeable?! Monitoring and SteamVR...poop, bad, don't touch?! This test has still been with the usual drivers, the new ones I have downloaded but I leave it for tomorrow already... Best regards SOFT!!!
  5. ...these are the latest tests without updating NIVIDIA drivers yet, but this is what it shows for example when I enter the mission for the first time: Entering mission after starting DCS ...and this when I enter for the second time: Entering the same mission for the second time (without exiting DCS) Notice that in the second screenshot the VRAM has dropped from 7.7 to 6.9 GB. Then when the problem that triggers the frametime is reproduced, when I exit the mission the fpsVR capture shows an erratic behavior of the GPU frametime: Debriefing menu I will try uninstalling the drivers with the CDU and install the ones Rioku commented to see if it improves something. What NIVIDIA drivers do you have now with the G2? I'm using the 445.75 Regards PD. One question I don't know how to make the images show instead of showing as links. The images are in my DRIVE
  6. I open a new post because although I started answering in another (sudden increase in GPU usage 100%) I am seeing that in my case the increase is not so considerable and observing in the MIS Afterburnner capture I do not detect anything strange that causes it: the temperature remains at all times at normal values, the VRAM is maintained (can not increase much more), the RAM also constant, and although the CPU does not show anything strange. In Steam's fpsVR you can always see the CPU frametime graph in green. But then suddenly the GPU frametime spikes and reduces the fps, making the simulator run very badly, but there is no apparent change in GPU usage - or at least that is drastic. MSI Afterburnner screenshot In the MSI Afterburnner screenshot I have boxed in red when the problem started. It coincided when flying solo over Batumi with the empty supercarrier in the vicinity...only cabin shadows in low, water in the middle, visibility range in high, MSAA 2X but at 0.24% of application, we go light so that with the G2 with a resolution of 2188 × 2140 (42%) the sim runs smoothly. Someone told me that it might be related to NVIDIA driver problems and SteamVR. Now I have the 445.75 and never had that problem, but I come from the Oculus environment and a Rift S. Do you think this could be the problem? Regards My computer: Ryzen 3700X, AOUROS X570 PRO, RTX 2080 and 32 GB at 3600MHz.
  7. Since I have the G2 I have had a similar behavior, although the GPU is not really at 100% ... My equipment is composed of a Ryzen 3700X, RTX 2080 and 32 GB to 3600MHz. What happens to me is that after making a flight in which the team has gone well, to return to enter and repeat the mission is that where before he had about 14-15 ms of GPU frametime now suddenly has risen to 19-20 and is unplayable ... As I am still trying to find the optimal point of resolution, settings and fluidity I am practically continuous testing things and with the fpsVR open. There you can see that the use of the GPU in the second flight has shot up a lot, even if it does not reach 97-99% is higher than the previous flight: 75-80%. I don't use them with a beast resolution either, because if not, it's not going to be fluid enough for me: Now it´s 45% (2188 × 2140) and 0.9 PD in DCS?! It happens to me with idenpendence that I fly the Hornet or the TOMCAT and it has happened to me in the Caucasus and in the Gulf that are those that I have tried up to date... Now I have also observed that when I jump from the cabin to the supercarrier (F9) this unpleasant effect occurs, the fps that were in 45 are reduced almost by half. If I return to the cabin the effect is maintained. It does not happen always but in most of the times that I do this change of view. With the F10 it doesn't happen to me and everything continues smooth, even better because the clouds disappear? If I change the supercarrier for the Stennis, it doesn't reproduce, or at least I haven't got it yet. This has never happened to me before with the Rift S...never! Before with the RIFT S I had the PD in DCS at 1.0 and in the OTT at 1.2. And the option in quality ocular (resolution per eye of 1648 × 1776 pixels). I think that now in the G2 at 2188 × 2140, it means less stress, right? What do you think it could be due to? The GPU has a fan profile that does not let it go up from 60-61º as shown by the fpsVR. The use of VRAM marks 7.8 GB of the 8 available in the RTX2080. In the MSI the use per application remains around 5 GB. You're sorry for my English, I used an online translator. Greetings!
  8. Hello, I updated less than a year ago and it still could. Mr. Gates is still interested in how many more are in W10 better?! I participated in a professional W7 and it was updated to the W10 Pro along with a new activation key. Actually it was activated only but check that the key was different from my original W7... Of course, if the update will do it to the W10 Home if you come from W7 Home. You could try. In the worst case, you would have to get a license on the Internet for 15 euros and they are legal. Regards,
  9. Hi Voyager! I have not yet decided, this new Intel did not know but looking at the network I find at prices above 500 euros ?! Regards
  10. Thank you, BitMaster We have a budget of 1200 euros for motherboard, 3700x, RAM, NOCTUA nh d15, NVMe for SO and a newpower supply... I will reuse my HAF-X, the RTX 2080, a 500GB SSD for DCS and 1TB HDD for data.
  11. Thank you,Toutenglisse We will take a look ... and yes, in Spanish much better?! Regards
  12. Hi, Der Hirte We will take a look at those AORUS, it seems that they speak quite well of them. Could I do OC at 3700x with the X570 Aorus Elite? Regarding the issue of the need for USBs, perhaps it is about comfort rather than a real need ?! What RAM are you thinking about? Could you recommend manufacturer and model to put 32GB to 3200? I do not need them with RGB if they can be somewhat cheaper ... enough lights has the TOMCAT cockpit?! Thanks once again and regards
  13. Hello, Der Hirte, Thanks for your prompt response. I understand that you mean that a motherboard so expensive is not necessary, isn't it? You personally, which one would you choose for the 3700x? I need at least 2 USB 3.0 for CV1 and at least 7 more USB for Warthog, pedals, keyboard, printer mouse and speakers...and of course I will not need PCIe 4.0!!! Regards
  14. Hello, I am thinking of changing the PC with the sole purpose of improving my experience in DCS in VR. Currently running the DCS with a CV1 with an I7 2600k at 4.5 GHz on an ASUS Sabertooth P67 MB, 16 GB of RAM at 1600MHz and an RTX 2080. SO W10. Logically I will keep the GPU but seeing the VR improvements they do nothing for me - except for the “shaders mod perfomance”, I begin to lose my patience - and why not say it: I can consume consumerist... Initially I was thinking of the I7 9700K - I have always had INTEL, but given the security flaws that apparently reduce their performance, and the good impressions I see to the owners of the new Ryzen, I am seriously considering acquiring a 3700x , mount it on a good MB x470 and put a good RAM at 3200 (32 GB). The cooling of the CPU was successful in the final, I will take care of a good NOCTUA nh-d15... space is not a problem and what will I keep the HALF X. Not having an AMD CPU, I am conditioned by the choice of the MB for the issue of updating BIOS, and I was thinking about the ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR VII HERO ... all with the intention of maintaining the platform for a few years. The doubts I have is because DCS benefits from high CPU clocks in single core where Intel seems better, but thinking a bit in the future and that one day VULKAN will be implemented, the 8 cores / 16 threads are beneficial of Ryzen. In any case, after passing the I7 2600K, improvement could be noticed even with the Ryzen, isn't it? Or maybe I am getting a lot of illusions and my I7 2600K, even though it is from 2011, isn't making a bottleneck with the RTX 2080 too much? I also read the DCS forum daily and all the entries related to new equipment and updates, but I still don't decide... Any advice that enlightens me, I hope your answers that as always will be well received. P.S. Sorry for my english: I used the google translator... Regards
  15. It works perfectly by following your instructions, as always. I am using the "DCS 2.5.5.33057 Open Beta" version. Tested with the F-14 Regards
  16. ...maybe I do not explain myself well, thanks to your modification that I downloaded from your DRIVE no problem. I can fly again with the same fps as version 2.5.4...THANKS AGAIN!!! If I keep the file "glass.hlsl" the mod works perfectly and the sim is still looking perfect. Maybe I do not have so much improvement in performance but I prefer it: better eye candy!!!
  17. Thanks Modda, I have been using the Kegetys mod for a while now and had become used to its performance improvement. But since the 2.5.5 update that stopped working I was disappointed. I tried to make it work but I did not get it: I do not have the necessary programming skills ?! In case anyone is interested: I prefer to keep the original "glass.hlsl" file. In this way I maintain the reflections in the cockpit dome and the sun does not make strange effects with cockpit clocks ... Maintaining acceptable performance. Apologies for my english: I am using the Google translator ... regards
