This is a big joke.
If the development was made seriously you should have been able to identify what change between 2.5.5 and 2.5.6 caused that. That makes me believe that you don't even use a decent tool to track the changes that are made in this spagetti code...
I am off DCS untill it get fixed and don't expect to get me back with a shinny new module.

Hi all,
Last OB update juste changed the Tpod behavior when unselecting target. It now goes back to it's caged position making the method even less practical.
Nice update again...
Has somebody found a way to do this?

I could be wrong but clouds are not nothing in the game. They do it via volumetric rendering since they are 3D and dynamic. I am sure this requires a lot of resources. So they are likely more difficult then say ground textures. That said you may want to look at lowering some settings since you CPU is pretty old now and turning down shadows and turning off SSAA and MSAA may help a lot to see if the FPS gets better.
with my system you can see in my signature I can fly through clouds without much issue but I also have SSAA, MSAA off and shadows set to low.
Thanks for your answer, off course I have all AA settings off (which looks pretty bad...) and even if my system is old it is not exactly low end. Especially because the CPU is overclocked at 4.7ghz and that Intel IPC and single core perf has not dramatically increased since it was released. Furthermore I set up DCS to run on dedicated physical cores.
The really boring thing with this is that when drops happen I don't see the GPU nor any of my CPU threads bottleneck.
I don't think " go buy a 3000$ PC" is an appropriate response for a Sim that runs poorly even when it doesn't looks great and keep getting worse despite promises of optimization. I hope for ED than Microsoft doesn't decide to revive combat flight simulator as well.

Hello,
When flying through clouds in VR, I see FPS drop from 45 (asw on) to low 30. This is really difficult to understand since there is basically nothing to render outside of the cockpit.
No setting other than PD seem to have effect. This issue occurs regardless of the plane. Mig-21 PRGM Approach is a good example.
I am using a HP reverb with a 1080ti, an i7 6700k @ 4.7GHz, 32go of RAM and DCS running from a nvme SSD. I can't see any component causing a bottleneck.
The issue occurs on 2.5.5 and 2.6.6

VR is still totally unplayable with a 30% performance drop from 2.5.5. It could have worked if only we had gotten the 50% VR performance boost that was promised several months ago...

No ! I , and many others , have tried the Kegety mod , and did not like the graphics changes . Doesn't the "Kegety lite" version pass integrity checks for those who wish to use it ?
I get tour point but I think not computing the part of the image out if field of view and having central MSAA only soule still be beneficial with no impact on the sim look.

Hello,
I was wondering if the awesome work Kegetys did on VR optimisation for DCS could someday be integrated by default or could pass integrity checks on MP?
Since the last official VR optimization was kind of a faillure, or a least brought mixed results, I think this could be really usefull.

I have the late auto release bug as well. I found that the best way was to use auto to guide myself toward the release point and switch to manual delivery 30s before the expected release and do it manually at roughly t-20s.
So no need for a ccip dive!

Actually the default.lua script proposed above fix the keyboard biding issue, just make sure DCS is closed before replacing it.
But we shouldn't have to manually patch the module at every update. That's really not serious...
Anyway, the HUD/PCA behaviour seemes consistent with what was announced. However:
- Magic select is bind to the same button as the visor and there is apparently no way to remove it once lowered.
- the OBL nav update function cannot be activated on the PCA

With the last update I am unable to set any keybind for the M2000.
I have updated the default.lua file with the one proposed above without any effect.
So relying on keyboard shorcuts with my warthog profile the module has become totaly unusable.
Some testing before releasing would be nice sometimes...
