  1. Agreed whole heartily Mr Burns. However its the wife right upper cut I'm more worried about, if she gets to the postman before I do :music_whistling: I've just looked at the UK tax 2.7% import and 20% VAT on top.. Ooooch. Maybe one day Frank could supply in kit form to get the price down. Looking forward to seeing those lovely parts when the website comes online
  2. That is truly an inspiration Tacno and +1 for sharing the information on your very nice website.
  3. As always deadhead you are right I'm so sorry :cry_2: PS Please put me on your ignore list so I don't upset you anymore like I have put you on mine. I apologise to all.
  4. Thanks for the PM DM  Gee Rockeye I am sorry your sick perhaps you should take a break or actually just lets know how you really feel. Reply I subscribed to Franks thread to enjoy reading his thread and constructive comments to those posts. Please don't pick a fight or continue to make other users feel uncomfortable and don't tell me to clear off! Its not helpful or nice, lets just try and support each other in the spirit of the forum. PEACE MAN :flowers:
  5. Ok let's say all points are valid and been said, lets move on and keep on topic. PLEASE. Any idea of when prices are going to be released and any details on interfacing? I appologise now if I've missed the answers.
  6. Sweeeeeet:thumbup:
  7. Good luck frank, as you say it's all down to price. I would be willing to give up some authenticity for practicality and cost saving. To me its about the participation in the community with like minded guys and increasing the imersion of the simulator. Apart from the standardisation of the panel size I'm not at all worried about a shades of colour of this or that or a few millimetres here or there. After all the Thrustmaster Hotas most of us use in not 100% accurate but there's a lot of guys that have them and only one or two have genuine controls. Good luck I say and keep up the good work and keep those posts coming.
  8. Good question. I was following HMA shopping list which is a great place to start. I presumed that it was to cut down the amount of USB connections to the PC. I’m sure that we will receive an education as we build together :book: Like you ‘programing ‘isn’t my thing :(
  9. Agreed. I've now switched back to the passive hat clip myself and if anything found an improvement in tracking. Great not having another set of wires dangling around. Just purchased a wireless headset and microphone for total freedom. Should have done it years ago.
  10. I was not sure of the voltage so I got a 3.3V and a 5V. Good to know I can use them both :) UPDATE....Received my Ethernet Shield W5100 this morning. What a great start :(
  11. Very handy thanks again and good luck with the move:) PS. All the parts are ordered. Found some Black Background displays http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170972304955?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
  12. Great thread and thanks for sharing guys. I haven't any idea on how to program but hopefully I can follow the instructions. Now I've subscribed to the thread I'm off to grab a coffee and order up the parts on the shopping list.
  13. Just been sent this by a mate. So the HOTAS slew on the genuine article is not a micro lever but a button. Shouldn't be too difficult to mod the thrustmaster after all.
  14. That's neat. I would like to give it a go as soon as I get my HOTAS back. Have you got the part numbers for the fittings so I could do a search and get some ordered?
  15. :megalol: Now that's funny. Anyway has anyone got a close up picture of the genuine throttle micro stick they could share?
  16. I've got both and have moved from using the pro to the clip, not only does it appear to be a slightly better response but using it plus a set of wireless headphones gives so much more freedom. i hated getting tangled up in wires which often caught on something. The pro is also fragile.
  17. Yes thats the one.
  18. http://www.conrad-uk.com/ce/en/product/700620/ALPS-Stick-controller-with-switch-RKJXP-1224002-Joystick-potentiometer-Joystick-10-k50-VAC5-VDC-Switch-50-mA12-Vd Order placed :music_whistling: Have you got the part number or spec of the original Thrustmaster unit?
  19. Thanks but I forgot to mention that I dont have the TARGET software installed and therefore never used it.
  20. I'm using the Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog and for some reason the throttles fail to move during a ramp start. If a runway or in flight mission is started therefore engines running, the throttles move but do not shut down the engines when moved passed the idle gate. They worked fine about a week ago so I have no idea of the cause. So far I've checked through windows set up that the axis on both levers are working fine and also through the DCS world-Ctrl's- Axis commands- Axis tune which also show a normal response. Removed the file from the USER-SAVED GAMES-DCS-CONFIG-INPUT-A10C-JOYSTICK-Throttle-HOTAS Warthog but still have the same problem. The Home+Ralt and Home+Rctrl button selection also doesn’t do the trick. Out of interest, how is the throttle idle / off position calculated? Are there switches for these positions or is it worked out by the axis linear travel output? Any ideas?
  21. That’s a great idea especially as mine seems to have become unserviceable. It was far to fiddly to use when it did work.
  22. :DWow after weeks of farting about trying to get this sorted and getting nowhere. Tried effte's post above and it's FIXED!!!!:D Thank you.
  23. I've also have the bezel compensation option set ,which helped. Next thing I'm going to try is PeterP excellent mod http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=96116 as I'm finding the cockpit default zoom and height/angle on this monitor set up to be unnatural. Anyway glad I could help.
  24. Got a similar setup as you but 3x27" monitors and the GTX660 card with no distortion. I've also set DCS as single monitor but have the 'surround option' selected within the graphic card software so the monitors act as a single screen in windows.
  25. Also looking for the same thing. I'm not sure who's doing what and the best way to interface. If you find something please Let me know and I will do the same :book:
