  1. Hi all, Just looking to see if anyone has some old VirPil or WinWing setups they'd like to sell! Can buy in pieces if necessary. Messy
  2. Low RAM usage relative to the amount of RAM that I have; as in, the RAM isn't maxed out so that's not what should be causing my problem. As I stated before, I can have low settings or high and have the exact same problem with low FPS. I'll post another video to show what I mean. HERE'S THE VIDEO ON "LOW" PRESET:
  3. I just made a video instead. Hopefully this gives you an idea of how dumb this is! :helpsmilie:
  4. No, that cpu usage is actually on "Core 1" and I was monitoring all cores yesterday and Core 1 was being used up the most out of all of them -- staying anywhere between 45-55 degrees...
  5. I forgot to mention that I have, in fact, tested that out as well. No luck.
  6. My monitor refresh rate is set to 60Hz and that's out of my own doing (the monitor is capable of 165Hz and 144Hz) because I like my system to stay quiet and less strained for some games. That's according to both Nvidia Control Panel AND my screen resolution settings through Windows.
  7. My GPU gets around 65-68 after 30 minutes or so and my CPU is less than 60 at all times. The frequencies stay as said in my bio, and I monitor them constantly because I have a Logitech G510 keyboard with an LCD screen that I put all that information on through MSI Afterburner.
  8. That's true that people have taken a performance hit, but even before 2.5.6, I was having this problem of having low GPU usage and still low FPS... Before it was in the 40s and was stuttery, now it won't go above 30 and is even more stuttery.
  9. HERE'S A VIDEO OF THE ISSUE: AND ON "LOW" PRESET: Hey guys, so I've had this issue for the entire time that I've had DCS. The title explains the issue I first thought it was caused by not loading the game onto an SSD - So I went ahead and bought a Samsung 860 EVO 500gb SSD and loaded DCS onto that (fresh install and everything). That didn't fix the issue; though it did allow for much quicker load times! I then figured my problem must be due to my "low" RAM capacity of 16GB; so I lived with the problem until I was recently able to purchase 32GB of 2666MHz RAM. Before 2.5.6, the FPS was... Manageable; though my GPU never went above 60% usage and 65 degrees, and my CPU would hover at around 30% usage and 45-50 degrees. Now, the usages are about the same, but my FPS is well below usable at a very inconsistent and stuttery 26-30 fps (as in, it stutters and drops below those frames extremely often) no matter what graphics settings I'm on! Low preset gets the same FPS as High preset... I have scoured the forums to try to figure this issue out, and I'm tired of randomly throwing money at the problem hoping for it to be a fix (though I didn't mind the upgrades that I got along the way). Any help would be greatly appreciated. My only thought is maybe it's because I'm running Windows 8.1? I have heard 8.1 is actually great for gaming because it has low background usages, but if that is seriously the problem, I can upgrade to Windows 10 I guess... Though I'd rather stay 8.1. Also, every other game I have played with this setup will use 100% GPU as necessary. It's only DCS that doesn't use more GPU usage even if my monitor demands more frames. Edit: Just updated to Windows 10 with absolutely no change!!
