  1. jackd's post in Roll back latest game version DCS 2.8.8.43489 Open Beta was marked as the answer
Just stared it, great tip. Loaded the latest DCS Open beta in slot one. Do you need to save it somewhere before changes, and edit only a copied Game folder to previous build??
ADDED just started openbeta 2.8.7.42718 ... beats me, the same behavior, must be doing something else wrong !
  2. jackd's post in Logitech Setpoint conflicting with other USB hardware.? was marked as the answer

  3. jackd's post in Combined Arms ERROR - Unable to enter vehicle: vehicle control is not available was marked as the answer
My first attempt in the mission editor, place the attached file here for a Willys sight seeing trip through London WW2 in a nice summers atmosphere.:
    ......... \DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\tech\WWII Units\Missions\CombinedArms\Single
Be warned, you'll be overrun by trucks, busses, even on park footpaths, and halfway 'cross bridges your Willys will submerge, but it's fun.
You'll need Normandy 2.0, WW2 Assets Pack, and Combined arms, and if you're an experienced ME expert, please add to this mission.
Use the mouse to view the progress of Willie in London.
UPDATED version:  WWII CA Willie in London v4.zip
The trick is start the mission, pause and press F10, then set this at the top bar on the map :

Then press F7 'till you get this view:

Tune your driving controllers, i have left/right and engine power set to 2 Axis' on my Warthog throttle,
accelerator pedal RZ reversed, and tune Left/Right curvature to 59 BTW, and gear shifting to buttons to select forward and reverse.

  5. jackd's post in Rudder and Elevater trim not working ... partly FIXED! was marked as the answer
Art_J posted: switch off Game Flight Mode in general Options.
In my Warthog/Saitek setup i needed to tune the combo axis set with some curvature around 40 and dead-zone of about 5.
With the Christen Eagle TRIM_HAT Nose UP or Down trim does not work in Flight Control Options; Game Flight Mode is off.
ADDED Tuning the Spitfire and P47 is still not easy, P51 is f.i. so i think i'll turn game flight mode on again.
  6. jackd's post in Rudder and Elevator trimming not working? - FIXED! was marked as the answer
You are right, the axis needs tuning now, and i appear less drunk ... just tuned the Spitfire a wee bit .... Thanks for the tip.
  7. jackd's post in Trackhat Opentrack sensor v2 tuning - FIXED! was marked as the answer
Well, i darkened my room, and it works reasonably well now ..
ADDED may 29: Opentrack v 3.2 software is out; and addressed the stray-light problems and it's far better now.
ADDED dec 2023: had a new windows installation and it did not work with other sim software than DCS.
Got it working there as i manually put the npclient and freetrackclient dll drivers in system32 and the 64 versions in sysWOW64 ....
  8. jackd's post in Control page naming error Lights P51 was marked as the answer
Right, i saw the Light ..
  9. jackd's post in Rudder X/Y controller bindings other than Z and X problem was marked as the answer
I got it organized. set axis somewhere in general axis commands, and then it was accessible in Flight control . Complicated.
