  1. Wanted to say thanks for the feedback so far. I will be working on this slowly as I do not want to spend my entire playtime troubleshooting.
  2. @Hotdognz I tried Those last settings I tried with no reprojection I get the shake/jitter as soon as I go near the ground. "I know you might say, dont look at the ground" I just cant help it. I was testing on Caucasus via the Hoggit training server in the f15e. I will do some more testing when I have more time. I'm not going to let this frustrate me. But the small test did remind me of how cool VR is.
  3. When referring to clarity I do mean the gauges. It also seems dim like dark in the headset. I am running the second-gen reverb G2. Ok, I turned on the preview settings for open XR. I will also give Anisotropic Filtering to 4x null
  4. So once up and running again. I am using the following settings Nvidia control panel FXAA off Multi frame Sampled AA(MFAA) Off powerMAnagement max power Verntical sync off Virtual reality pre-render frames 1 Open XR null null Now video playback seems(i meant the game lol) a lot, smother than what I expected. what is not working for me is the clarity and brightness. What can I do to adjust clarity and Brightness?
  5. @WipeUout at this point I am starting fresh. I do not have the settings I use to have. hopefully, there is a baseline set of settings I can use. That's where I am trying to start.
  6. yes since MT came out I had switched to that. I think my issue is I might just be putting too much stress on the system. But that Jutter kills my enjoyment.
  7. Hey guys, Problem child here again with my 1st world problem. I love VR always have and always will. But right now it feels like it's a distant dream. I started playing DCS back in about 2018 when I got the hornet. at this time I had the Oculus Cv1. The Cv1 was replaced by the Oculus Rift. This is where major issues started to pop up for me. When I got Rift I started noticing a lot of ghosting pretty much everywhere no matter what the settings were. In about 2020 I ended up replacing the Rift for a reverb g1. At the same time, I also built what I would consider a new pc aside from the graphics card. The previous system was an 8700k with 32gigs of ram and the 2080ti. The new system was an AMD 3900x 32 gigs of ram 2 1tb Sabrent rocket nvme's and the 2080ti. I imagine it was more of a side grade than anything but with the ghosting issues I was having I decided maybe new parts were needed. When those new parts didn't work. I upgraded from the 3900 to a 5900x( I know the 5800x3d would have been a better way to go but I only had access to the 5900x). I still experienced the same jutter/vibration/shake I was setting. At this point, Nothing else was experiencing this type of performance issue and I was spending more time troubleshooting than playing. I had Formatted several times and disconnected my monitors. Disconnected devices I had plugged in and even asked for help from the community including Bignewy at the end of it all No one could suggest anything that would help and I was left with the emoji. On top of that, I had gotten a 3090 as well. A close friend of mine I fly with all the time suggested maybe it was time to go back to Intel, so I grabbed a 13700k. So now my current specs are 13700K,32gigs of DDR4 ram 1tb Nvme dedicated to games and sims, and a 4090. I tried VR on the 4090 for a little bit and just got so frustrated that I basically wanted to give up. How could I have upgraded so many times, and swapped out different parts just to experience the same thing? I have attached a picture with an illustration to kinda show what I am experiencing. I took it in 2d which I do not experience the shake. My resolution in 2d is 7680x1440. I am still faced with the same jutter and shake when looking at AI aircraft or the ground. unfortunately, it makes me sick and I can't fly like that. I've attached a picture of what I see because I believe it's different for everyone. if I were to describe it verbally. When I fly low to the ground and look out the left or right side of any cockpit, I see the ground shake like a vibration. Sometimes it also looks like it's being pulled and snapping back into place. So why did I write out this long in boring story? I wrote it out because I read another thread where the person made a blank statement about how bad VR runs. I want people to know and understand my experience and frustration. Why I am one of those people who have basically sworn off VR even though I stated I would never go without it. So to get to the point. is there anyone that can provide me with a starting baseline for my settings? I am not looking for ultra-super clarity. I am just looking to be able to use my VR without the shaking/jutter that I experience. TLDR: I have a good pc and I am frustrated with my experience in DCS and VR. Please help. Thanks for reading! PS. I literally do not have anything connected right now so this suppose to be a fresh new starting point. null
  8. I've had my throttle for 8 months with the only issue being sim app likes to ignore it. All buttons work in windows so I don't think much about it. I hope winwing can take care of you. The lackluster support seems to drive people to suggest virpil.
  9. At one point I even stacked the springs lol I found too stiff is not good for me though.
  10. Yes that's correct but you can usually line up his mappings to most mid range and higher gear. I use his mappings on my winwing stuff. I've gone from X56 to vkb to winwing. I used the x56 throttle and vkb stick before getting winwing throttle and vkb.
  11. After switching from a 5900x and 3090. to a 13700k I can genuinely say I still have the same ground studder. I have been able to minimize it but I've also learned not to look out the side of the aircraft lol. Only thing that helps is lowering the Resolution to something that's a blurry mess.
  12. i wanted to see if I could replicate the issue and maybe solve it in a short amount of time. Needless to say I fell in to the same trap. However I had already had these rotaries mapped to formation and position lights. Since I use non of win wings labelings I put switches and buttons where I felt it made since to me. In the end I ended up using the pitch alt hold 3 way switch and the Rol hdg sel. I felt those were more akin to things on the f16 than the f18. They actually make great heading and course switches.
  13. Unfortunately I have this issue were on forum post no one can seem to help me. So i reverted back to windows 10.. I will retest today and see how it goes. I may still put myself through the ringer and upgrade back to 11 if it behaves. I was really hoping my logs would show something that stood out but they do not I believe. I will try uac and report back if I go back to 11.
  14. I've been having some issues flying for an extended period of time. My game seems to crash after more than 30 minutes of flight. I am current on windows 11 pro 22h2 via a fresh install. No mods installed in DCS. DCS is installed on an 1tb NVME drive with plenty of space that's separate to the os drive. Page file has been set to 32768MB just incase I have issues. I have tested on multiple hoggit servers and on both servers this situation seems to happen. I fly and then the game just stops. Checking event viewer I get "The program DCS.exe version 2.7.14.24228 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel." According to Security and maintained. These are the following reports regarding the crashes.Description Faulting Application Path: F:\DIGTALCOMBATSIMULATOR_GAME\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\DCS.exe Problem signature Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: DCS.exe Application Version: 2.7.14.24228 Application Timestamp: 628cd0c1 Fault Module Name: dx11backend.dll Fault Module Version: 2.7.14.24228 Fault Module Timestamp: 62829e59 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 0000000000027326 OS Version: 10.0.22621.2.0.0.256.48 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: b674 Additional Information 2: b674126e63fc2f6e194cba584d73c7ca Additional Information 3: 7285 Additional Information 4: 728524bb56fbd447cfe31602c882c68c Extra information about the problem Bucket ID: 705311a9815d338d222f84a44e1d32c7 (1310411857808143047) Description A problem caused this program to stop interacting with Windows. Any insight would be helpful dcs.log
