Harry Cockpit

Just had a "Lockup" happen on the "Shooting Range" mission and I was RTB to refuel and reload. I did have avast running in the background. Longbow ah64-d has it own AWACS though right?, the big top on the rotors. You can expose it just above objects to get los on the battlefield. Then acquire targets, hover down behind cover and start firing hell fires in lob mode, over mountains and shit like that. Used to play longbow2. I've actually got the janes flight manuals for these games still... F-15, Longbow, FA-18, USAF. nice books

Could use help doing this, as far as being able to recon a sam/AAA from outside its radar range, and have it appear on my abris screen. I know of the wingman commands, and the scan mode. Do not know how scan mode works. trying to play with no labels on.

Thought you mentioned something about printing out a head sign though? Do you have a video of it in use? trackir will have better support for games.

Well for me, I've already bought. And game developers design head-tracking around trackir. You get what you pay for I guess.

Got my trackIR4 pro bundle today, got it setup, its nice. could probably tweak it some, but overall its working.

There should be a "Guides sub-forum". would be awesome. Im trying to learn auto-pilot, as far as auto-pilot flying the waypoints. Still cant get it though.

I've set up the joystick in game and came up with a decent layout.

Just got an x52 stick, wondering if anyone has a profile or a link on how to set this thing up. I tried search, with no luck though.

Dude, I havent even found trim yet. Ive read alot about it on the site and the forums. And from what I've read, trim and auto-hover are key elements when flying and engaging targets. did manage to cold start and take off after watching the "cockpit systems" tutorial, didnt know how to close cockpit at the time though.

No doubt, gonna order trackir pro bundle sometime tonight as well. Then see about replacing my joystick with a hotas. x52 or x52pro. Currently using a logitech force 3d pro.

I just got my copy today, messed with it some, watched a couple of the tutorial videos. Which were not much of a tutorial at all, since most of what he was talking about, made no sense. Planning on reading the manual. Do have it running nice, DcsMax helped me, and was quite noticable in the tutorial vids.

Does this sim comes with a coupon for trackIR? Ive read somewhere it does, since most of you here, have the game what better place to ask. Im gonna get the TrackIR 4 pro bundle.

Wish I had an extra monitor, I do have a 37" sharp aquos 1080p about 3-4ft left of my monitor. Best I can do with it so far is mirrored desktop. Good to hear others using a 22" lcd though and having trackir working nice. How does looking left and right work though? Its got sensitivity settings for looking left/right?... If so, is it to sensitive at times? Or do you have to just get used to using it?

Whats the hold up with the major stores? Release date shouldve been a week ago, EB/Gamestop have it set for today, Bestbuy the 24th? WTF?
