Why is it that there are mods like DCSMax and the terrain mod that make the game better...shouldn't the game have been tweaked by ED? I bought it online for $49 and am curious why I am downloading upgrades to performance and visuals that are made by 3rd parties. ???

Obviously you guys like Lock On, but is it worth my time to buy it? Have Falcon 4.0 AF and think it pretty much blows. Lock On's graphics good? Worth a purchase?

I have a dual core and have seen the affinity tool mentioned. Someone said to alt-tab out of a mission, but all that does is minimize my window. Any help would be appreciated.

Where? I copied the 3 folders to my KA 50 folder. How do I choose the skin. Someone mentioned a "drop-down" list of skins. I don't see this anywhere. I would love to use it. Thanks!

Release? EB says it's shipping, but none have it yet. I got tired of waiting and downloaded it. The main reason I didn't want to DL it from Eagle is that I use a wireless aircard on my laptop and have a 5gb limit monthly, which sucks, but I need it for school as I am a graduate student. I took the plunge anyway and went over my minutes which is gonna cost me $$$. I am an impatient person though and when I couldn't find it in stores I went nuts. I used to play the old comanche vs havok...something like that. That game was awesome, but it wouldn't run on XP when XP came out and there were no patches so I trashed it. This game is awesome. Just diving into it, but very impressive. Probably wont do much online until I get cable back, I have been laid off too and need to cut corners somewhere. I am trying to locate the thread on how to install skins also. Pretty good with PCs and software, but still a nooby with Black Shark.

Patch available? Any update on when the patch will be available and where it will be available?
