Anyone knows if any artist has made hires skins for the B1 and C-17 and , B52... I like this big birds but now that I can afford a good resolution I am noticing that this skins just look poor compared to example the new ones on the C-130, thos e look great. Anyone? I heard that Mizzy was making some a long time ago but I dont know.

I just played an A10 mission , don't rememeber the name of it, I was placed in TURKEY in the other side where there is one sole airfield more than 500KM from the action!! and no KC...a very bad joke from the author guess it was a mistake. Anyway 10-15 minutes to see some action is ideal for me.

Great Mod, THis will change the runways ? or should I use another Mod for that like.

I have tried installing LO RELOAD by SimMod, but I dont understand, first It only changes the terrain textures only for Summer right? and it only gave me a new texture for one runway Simperfol, Isn't it suposed to change all runways to a more darker pavement and with new skid marks? I have seen escreen shots showing this but I am not sure, maybe is another Mod ? Anyone? or are this screen shots using some filter? the terrain looks more textured and realistic green.

Great thread, I wont feel to bad asking stupid questions here like the next one, I am preapring to adventure myself into night flying in BS, I have so far been able to finally fly kind of good in day time and perform not very good ATG missions but I am still learning. What are the basic procedures during night time What lights should I have on? NVG , ? taking off? ATG attack ?

Ok, but since it didnt let me opne the .cfg file I thought that I had nothing to do there. How do I opne the .cgf file? to modify it.

I am not to good with programming and command lines and all that, I have never mess with them in LOFC or BS to much , so I dont undertand quite bit what to do to install the Reload mod for terrain. LO RELOAD by SimMod B1 LOF, (LO Reload Ground and Air Base Textures b01) can someone guide me? will this work in Windows Vista? I attached the dialog that comes out before installing, I then press next and the program installs but nothing changes to runways and summer terrain in the game.

Thanks just finished reading that article. I assume that every round that gets fired at night or day has a tracer, well most of the time, and at night rounds fired that don't have tracers for some reason will still be visible, no the naked eye, right? I guess is a common thing for every round to have tracers, both NATO, and WARSAW

Sorry for being such a ,.. but I have to ask. I have heard all the time about tracer fire, since I first saw them in 1991 during Desert Storm Footage, I have thought all my life that tracers are just bullets called "tracers" but are in fact the bullets travelling at high speeds and high temperatures and that the visual impression of them fired in bursts is that is like a laser traveling in space, so they "trace",? I am gettin gconfused by this forum, someone was talking about "tracers"are every 5 rounds and different colors ?(which I have noticed), what does that mean? that there is like a special round in every magazine that fires difrently or something? to show the direction of the bullets? Hello,, Before loading every mission after I hit "fly" on BS it crashes to my desktop and it appears as if is not going to restart but then it starts again and continues loading the game perfectly. Thanks guys, I was very concerned about this "negative training" I remember it happened to me in Janes F-15, there was a easy radar, easy everything and I used to play with it until I realize that I wanted realism, when I tried to change to "realistic mode" I had a bad time. I could imagine that jumping from arcade to real in the DCS new series will be a a very much more complicated manuever than in Janes series. I will take this weekend for training, I was getting kind of tired anyway of the arcade (for the past 2 nights) mode becasue I really dont like the F4 perspective and that my collective doesn't work on my joystick just with Q and A. Thanks again. Now I have to un install FC, for putting up on my new computer becasue I don't want to forget how to fly LO.

I have a new computer now, I want to deactivate my Lock On FC so I can reinstall it on my new one and activate it there without loosing another activation. Is there a way?

Hello everyone,, I have now a new DV5 HP laptop wich is great with 4 GB of RAM an ATI HD with 256MB. with Vista Home Premium 64 bit. Black Shark is running and I most say that it is more than I ever imagined, the simulation mode is the most complex and relalistic thing I have ever seen in a game. So far I am playing only on Arcada mode but I am practicing every now and then. There was something I noticed when I was installing the game, the DX installation dialog, this one didn't appear in my old laptop so that means that DX wasn't even installing itself!, that was something I didn't notice. So anyone having the same problem should notice the that the DX installation dialog actually starts and the installation process doesn't skip it like my old computer did. Not sure why this happened.

I think there's definetely somthing that I would like to see on LO that onloy USAF had, it was I don't know more inmersive, the dialogs where longer and more human even thought they where recorded by some 15th years old.. "great job!".. "SIerra Hotel"! I mena those kind of things.. I loved the USAF campaign on desert storm.. and being able to fly with Night vision.. that is something missing in LO FC.. Haa!! I found it... watch it it was my favorite..

Hello Everyone,,. since I cannot play my BS,.. I am reminding my self of how easy was back when I started playing air simulators... My original first of my life simulator was A-10, I dont remember it's official name but it was 1 green pixel killing another grey pixel which was a tank.. no it wasnt really like that but I remember I ran it on my WIndows 3.1 and it came in 3.5" floppy disk, the RWS was really loud I drived my Mom nuts.:joystick: The I stoped playing for some years until I got a new Gateway and found out Janes ATF! the greatest game of my life, was amazing.. :pilotfly:I still havn't found the original intro video on you tube, can't believe no one has it, do you remember? it was a C-17 scorted by 2 eufighters or saab gripens thought a valley and they get jumped by 2 MIG 29.. oooh great intro and not to mention the M1 Abrams coming out of the book and the apache firing inthe desk.. great. I hated it for not showing the bombs and missiles on the plane, but you could play with every single aircraft in there even thought it was not so realistic. There where other ones.. AH 64 Logbow!! it marked my life and got me to love Helos then I played F-15E Loved that one, got to buy my first Joystick beacuse you couldn;t play without it What about USAF!! all vintaege Jane's great titles,, thank god for ED and DCS, :thumbup: how about your?

Yes, I will keep this Laptop, I need it.. I was thinking on buying a HP as well, I am sick of dell, I would want and XPS but those are just To expensive. How does Black shark performs on Vista in general with a good amount of ram 4 gb for example and with ATI graphic cards? I have always have Nvidia

Yes actually it has to be a laptop so I can use it for study and work, I have assembled rigs myself in the past and it's defenitely cheaper. Thanks, for the advice, :)

Thanks Panzer. I realize that intalling it on this old DELL laptop after everything I've done is simply not going to work,.. I decide to get a new laptop so I am just waiting to have the guts and kill my savings, I hope that buying a new decent new piece of hardware will make my game work. I will look for a good alternative on how to unistall and deactivate my Lock On FC from here so I can move everything there. Thanks. =)
