  1. Good idea, sadly with lockon models site going down, and the old sim mod site, alot of information has been lost to those of us just trying to start out. Maybe we should start by asking for specifics, I know I for one need help with damage models and LODs. For damge models, I get the basics about basically having 2 or more different models of the parts and showing/hideing them with the arg vis controler. Have also figured out how to add bullet holes and gashs in the airframe skin by useing "Decals" that get applied with the vis controler. The thing I can't figure out is how to link weapons to pylons so when say, part of a wing gets blown off, the weapons don't just hang there in mid air. For LODs, I know you need to reduce your polys in the model, but I don't know what I need to do in the LOMUtils panel to actually get the stuff to actually save it as a LOD and work in game.

  3. You may want to check season of the mission you are flying. Click the little weather icon that looks like a cloud in the upper right side of the mission editor and set it to summer if it isn't, click ok, then save/fly the mission. Hope this helps you.
  4. Looks like you have a graphics.cfg problem. Either you have an older version of ModMan that doesn't edit the graphics.cfg to install a custom .cdds file, it is set to read only, you are installing another mod that overwrites it(graphic tweak mods) or perhaps running a custom lockon.bat file that copies it with a back up. Either way open it up in notepad and scroll down, look for this area. TextureCollections { highFolder = ".\\Bazar\\TempTextures\\"; common = ".\\Bazar\\World\\VNAOMedRes.cdds"; if common = ".\\Bazar\\World\\VNAOMedRes.cdds"; isn't listed, put it in there and then save the file. Should work after that. If it doesn't, check the bazar/world/ directory to ensure that VNAOMedRes.cdds is in fact installed there. If you still have problems after that, let me know.
  5. I finally got arround to replacing the motherboard in the server box that I had running the VNAO F-14D mod in Hyperlobby. The server is now back up and online running the Virtual Naval Air Operations Mod. Please be sure to have our mod installed before joining as you can currently only fly the F-14D F/A-18F and F-16C versions of our jets. You can pick up the mod from here http://lockonfiles.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&cid=245&lid=1448&ttitle=Virtual_Naval_Air_Operations_Mod#dldetails It is currently running a 4 map rotation of a CTF style map with different seasons/time. The missions are set to rotate after 60 min or once both objectives for one side have been completed. Objective #1 is to destroy 2 sets of 5 APCs at WPs 2 and 3. Objective #2 is to destroy a jeep at the controll tower of the enemies air field. There is AWACS available for both sides as well as short and med range SAM coverage protecting the air fields. SAM sites are pre designated in the mission to be taken out by F/A-18s with HARMS/HARPOONs. To do this, go to Air to Ground mode, select the missle, turn on the Radar with the I key, then fire when you are within lauch constraints. You can cycle through the targets with the tilde key(~). Be sure to read the misison brief. All 3 jets are selectable on both the Red and Blue side and the layout of air bases, APCs and SAM sites is as close to the same as I can get it for both sides. Have Fun and enjoy. To Do: Modify RvE-Yoda's LRM scripts to better suit our mod with allowed payloads and radar fixs.(Thanks a ton Yoda for developing AMRACT and the LRM Scripts.) Set up a Stats page. Server currently has Apache2, PHP and MYSQL installed but I am at a lost as to how to incorperate them together with the export.lua script.
