Actually, Im flying F-15s exclusively at the moment, getting some time in while I work through the F-15 campaign.:pilotfly: Although, when I'm facing groups of 2-3 vs. me, I have been spending a lot of time in a parachute. Technically, the parachute is just a poor mans helicopter - without the lift.:helpsmilie: I dont know how smart this is, but I have been flying directly at my target and his wingman, locking the lead up and waiting until they launch missiles. At that point, I am breaking away while keeping him locked up for another few seconds. Then Ill fire, break hard and dive. If Im lucky, then one goes down and I have a 1v1 situation. The trouble is that, #2 is usually pretty close on me and if I lose sight of him, I cannot tell how to dodge his missles. I get a missle launched tone, but I cannot tell whether to dive, close, or turn and climb. Also, not sure when to engage ECM. Seems if I turn on too early, Im easier to detect - albeit slightly harder to get an initial lock? :dunno: Another thing I've tried, is to use my AWACS to get me in the area, fly low into terrain and try and flank them with radar off, ECM off. The trouble is that if I can get in behind them, by the time I am in a position to get missiles pointing at them that they are both breaking on me hard.:cry: Again, thanks for the advice. /dj

Looking for some strategies for avoiding missiles. Go hi, go low? Go fast? Turn into, turn away and run? Right now, Im just flying like an idiot and spammin chaff/flares. Thinking there is a better strategy than that. Also, how can you keep track of where the missile is? There a view I can set? As always, thanks for any guidance you can provide. /dj

I am trying to set up the Throttle mouse axis as "button presses" to bind different options to. I can get it set up in the Profile editor but game - LOMAC FC - does not recognize. Nor does the MFD show the "command titles" when pressed like the other buttons do. What I am trying to do is set it so X+ / X- is scan zone right/left and Y+ / Y- is scan zone up/down. Am I doing something wrong?

Tried getting a good screenshot of teh exact language, but Im sure you pros will be able to make sense of this. So, when AWACS calls out bandit info, how can I use that to pinpoint the bad guys? Horrible example: Angels 11, Pop-up group ?? bearing 63 for 23....

Looks damned sexy! But looks to still be a year or so out there. IL-2 on steroids is probably the only thing that could brag me away from my F-15 right now. Well that and some LOMAC on steroids. I've fallen back in love with the fighter sims after a long hiatus. I just recently starting playing LOMAC FC for the first time and although it is all still new and enjoyable, I am wondering what is coming down the pipeline - either from DCS or otherwise? What is the next great thing in fighter sims that everyone is looking forward to? /dj

Honestly, that was exactly what I said to her. Didnt go over so well right away, but it did get me enough quiet time to get everything set up :music_whistling:. And she came around, so all is well now.:joystick:

Went crazy and picked up LOMAC FC, Trackir 5, Saitek X52 Pro, Saitek Pro pedals, and Logitech G13! Wife kicked my ass too, btw. So, Ive finally got everything pretty much set up and have got the basics down. Now, I am looking for some more good video tutorials online of the same caliber as FlankerTraining. Can yall help me find some? Thanks. /dj

New to LOMAC FC and trying to get my buttons set up on Saitek X52 Pro. Havent figured out when to use flares vs. chaff yet, so Id like to set up one button to dispense both. I set up a "New Advanced command" for the Mouse Fire on Throttle to input [flares button] (short pause) then [chaff button]. However, the game only sees one or the other - whichever I input first in the set. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks /dj

I managed to get a couple with quick presses, but this is kind of ridiculous having to spend 10 minutes speed tapping a button just to map one command. Cant seem to map my Saitek rudder pedals to brake either. Cant imagine everyone has this same issue? If so, what does everyone else do to set up your buttons? Is there a text file where you can map the buttons manually? Like an XML or LUA file?

Just bought the game. Fresh install from Gold, then installed FC from disk. Attempted to go into game and edit buttons for flight and combat for my X-52 pro. However, when you select an action and click <change> the game immediately selects either button33 or button34. Programming the Axis works, but I cannot change any buttons. I also tried patching Lockon to most current version and same issue. I really dont want to have to program all the buttons through the Saitek profiler. Help? Just bought the game and new controllers. Everything works in HAWX and IL2.

I just got DCS Blackshark and Lock On and realized right away that I needed something to help me keep track of the buttons on the Saitek x52 Pro, so I created this template. It's a work in progress. I welcome any feeedback.
